INTRODUCTION
The larger part of hospitality industry is associated with travel and tourism. The travel and
tourism sector in every country is set to provide necessary and preferred goods and services to all
the travellers across the world (Scott and et.al, 2019). The nature and the trends that are in
regards of tourism on an international scale is being focused in this report. Every country is
majorly connected with regards to tourism. There said to be a huge amount of revenue generation
only because of tourism in all the countries. The report deals with the reasons for global tourism
generation. The different global tourism destinations and their maintenance along with the
strategies is being conveyed in the report. The international Tourism Organisation and the roles
and responsibilities that are associated with the organisation which promotes growth and
development of tourism are being explain.
LO1: SCALE AND NATURE OF GLOBAL TOURISM
P1: Statistics to accurately present an overview of the nature and trends of tourism on a global
scale
The trends and nature that are related to tourism industry in the international market are said to
be significant to identify and to analyse (Fletcher and et.al, 2020). The tourism is always linked
with the travelling industry which adapts itself to the regular changing environment and the
tourism sector development. The changes that are related with the traveller development
activities will directly affect tourism. The service industry in the country is formed of two
aspects which are travel and tourism. The travel and tourism factors are associated with
components which are providing accommodation, food, beverage, distribution, sales and
services. In order to improve productivity common Employment generation, income, social
development and economic growth the tourism consultant network of that particular country will
help. The different nature and Trends that are associated with tourism are as follows:
Growth:
There are many aspects in the nature that attains a probable growth in no time. Tourism is one of
the factors that is regarded as the fastest growing sector of the world. It is recorded that the world
with tourism bookings is said to be 1.6 trillion dollars approximately as per 2017 records.
Employment:
Employment certificate the essential aspect around the world. People with very small skills to
highly professional range seek for employment in various sectors. The tourism industry is said to

be an award for all the recruitment processes (Verheijen and Darma Putra, 2020). It is said that
10% of the world's jobs are linked with the tourism industry. Right from a very small position to
the management position there are a number of job opportunities that can be created upon global
tourism.
Statistics:
According to the statistical data of monthly visitors in the year 2017 it has been recorded that the
tourism industry has 324 million monthly visitors. The site that is most famous for tourism
booking portal is the booking.com which has revealed as of May 2018 that there has been a
record of 443 million visitors.
Revenue:
Tourism industry in every country is said to be the number one economy generations of the
country. The revenue that is generated as of the statistical data of 2017 is 10.4 % of the Gross
Domestic Product globally (Vaduva and et.al, 2020). The tourism industry is said to have an
increase of 4.6 % when compared to the previous year. It has been recorded that on comparison
with the first six months of 2018 with the first six months of 2017 there has been a growth of 6%
tourists worldwide.

The characteristics that are associated with the key tourist generating and receiving areas of the
world are as follows:
Location:
Location is said to be the primary important aspect of the tourism destinations where it is
responsible for attracting tourist to a particular destination. People are more intended to be in a
place where they have never been in their entire span. For example, people who are interested in
visiting the historical monuments cannot visit America since there are very less. For this purpose,
the to his will preferred places like India where the historical monuments are worthy to watch.
Climate:
While location is of major concern climate is said to be the hard-core importance for many of the
tourists. It is said to be an important attraction where there are a number of tourists all over the
world that will prefer particular time and climate to visit the destination (Lenzen and et.al, 2018).
For example, people from a colder region might opt to go and visit a place with normal
