age, race and even nation. They have operating cross border production and intercontinental
trade for almost a decade. Their brand equity and market acquisition is increasing vastly.
Recently, they intended to introduce some new products in South Asian regional market. It is the
region with most growing economies in the world with ever growing market.

Introduction
Globalization is the term refers to the research development, sourcing of resources for input,
production, marketing and sales, and multinational connections and communication with
diversified workforce. Application of globalization demands multinational trade of goods and
services, diversification of workforce, production in different countries and expansion of
international investment. GlaxoSmithKline is aspiring to initiate a product launch in south Asian
region. In this circumstance they need to research on the acceptability of the product to
consumers of different horizon. Also they have to analyze the production capacity, market
segmentation and marketing form. Globalization in a greater scale on the functions of an
organization, it impacts functions such as operation, marketing, human resource and accounting.
Most of the time an organization has to reform its functions in different manner for different
countries. So, they need to perform a research on the impact of globalization on organization.

trading since 1999 in British market. They carry out researches, develop and manufacture

company (Boudreaux, 2017). Their values are patient oriented, transparency, mutual respect,
integration. GlaxoSmithKline is an organization which is operating all over the globe, includes
150 countries by engaging 99,000+ people. They’re most investment is in R&D (research and
development). They have 36 R&D centers’ and major research and development centers are in
United Kingdom, United States of America, Spain, Belgium and China. They have extensive line
of production and several manufacturing sites. Their marketing and commercial operations
spread all over the world. With such an expressive and expanding geographical presence, they
intend to provide a better life to its stakeholders.

As I have be appointed by my firm GlaxoSmithKline to perform a research on the basis of
impact on the functions of business as a result of globalization. And impact of GlaxoSmithKline
on the domestic health care business (Belloc, 2010). Quantitative and qualitative approach
research is required to answer these following factors.
In which context, local healthcare firms are affected by multinational companies.
GSK’s contribution in the growth of the economy of U.K.
Analysis of advantages and disadvantages in healthcare and consumer healthcare
products.
Designing a project management plan for the aspiring product launching.

Question regarding the research
As in the given situation, GlaxoSmithKline is aspiring to initiate a product launch in South Asian
region, which can possibly impact one the functions of organization itself. So, as the
organization expands in a larger form, its functions of operation, marketing, HR and accounting
would also be reformed to meet the new demand of the expanded form of organization (Daft,
2014). These functions could be impacted economically, culturally and ethically because of
globalization of the organization.

of project’s blueprint describing details planning and procedure as set a points of
accomplishment to achieve its objectives. If any unexpected event happens in the mean time of
the process, necessary steps are taken to adjust and control the process with the set point
(Hamilton, et al 2009). Project coordinators are instructed to ensure that set points should be
achieve and manage the whole project to generate profit from the enabled project. So, necessary
