Background of research- The present research is
being on the understanding of role of globalization in
terms of incorporating workplace diversity in
organization. The globalization describes the growing
interdependence of the world’s economies, cultures
and populations brought by cross-border trade in
goods & services, technology, flow of investment,
people and information.
Background of organization- For the current
research Marks & Spencer is being considered which
is an international British retailer headquarter in
London, England that specializes in selling clothing,
beauty, home and food products.
Rationale of research- The reason of conducting this
research is to examine the impact of globalization of
incorporating of workplace diversity within UK retail
industry. As globalization leads to great level of
workplace diversity and more diverse range of
potential business partners.
Problem statement- The workplace diversity is
considered as major element which helps in business
growth but company face the problem of loss of
cultural identity, managing employee immigration
during globalization which expanding business into
global market.
