INTRODUCTION
Graduate challenges are considered as the various challenges that are faced by the
students during the period of their graduation. From facing these challenges, students improve
their skills and competencies like communication skill, teamwork, team management and
business skills that enable them to perform defined work in efficient manner. This report consist
various different challenges that are faced by graduates are presentation challenge, t-shirt
challenge and apprentice challenge and reflection on the skills as well as competencies that are
leant by students during managing challenges. Furthermore, SMART action plan explained in
this report that need to improve to attain future goals.

Analysis of challenges
Apprentice challenge:
The Apprentice challenge is related to London School Of Science And Technology that is
higher educational school committed to provide professional education in business, computing
and management field. Working in an academic institution helps me to gain better experience
and improve my learning. It helps me to complete my academic work in best possible manner. I
have worked under skilled and experienced faculty members that improves my academic
knowledge (Ain, Sabir, and Willison, 2019). I have also gain various future development
opportunities such as I have pursuit my post-graduate course with working or get placements.
Through working in London School Of Science And Technology as a apprentice, I have learnt
various skills that are mentioned below:
Communication skill: I have worked in LSST, where I have interacted with experienced
professors and students that improves my academic learning and knowledge. Effective
communication skill is the factor that enable me to covey my ideas and thoughts to others with
efficiency. Effective communication maintains mutual understanding and improve performance.
Teamwork: Working in LSST improves my teamwork skill because their I have
performed various activities in group that make me enable to influence and support other to
achieve determined goals and objectives of group.
Time management: In LSST all works are performed according to defined period of time
. Initially, I do not meet deadlined but later I have learnt to perform operations in specific time

period. As a apprentice, I keep a diary in which I have regularly note my activities and their
completion time period that enable me to improve time-management skill (Asonitou, and
Hassall, 2019).
Business skills: Working in London School Of Science And Technology improves
various business skill in my personality such as presentation skills and develop records of
students in excel sheet that help me in future as well to perform business operations in efficient
manner.
Presentation challenge
This presentation challenge is related to preparing presentation on the topic of
performance evaluation of Tesco that includes various slides containing the concepts regarding
background of Tesco, current trends in supermarket sector, current performance level of
organisation, SWOT analysis and recommendations for improving performance of organisation.
In order to prepare this presentation, I have conducted depth research regarding Tesco that
enables me to identify current performance level and trends in supermarket sector in efficient
manner (Hendarman, and Cantner, 2018). Preparing presentation helps me through improving
various skills such as effective communication, team work and various others that enables me to
attain future goals in efficient manner. These skills are mentioned below:
Communication skill: Developing presentation on performance evaluation of Tesco
helps me to improve my communication skills. This skills helps me to covey all my work, ideas,
views and thoughts to views in understandable manner. Through efficient and effective
communication, I have maintained interest level of viewers in presentation and make them clear
all my points that are covered in presentation.
Team work: The task of developing presentation is assigned in group. I take initiative to
interact with other group members and identifies their skills and interest areas. It helps me to
allocate task in group efficiently and according to interest area of members that being better
outcomes (Lake, and Baroni, 2018). I have improved teamwork skill through completing the
presentation work in group on time.
Time-management: There is specific time period is decided for completing the
presentation. Initially, it creates challenge for me because I am weak in managing work
according to deadline. Later, I have developed a specific schedule with completion time period. I

followed this schedule in efficient manner that improves my time-management skill that help me
to complete presentation on performance evaluation of Tesco in presentable manner.
Business skills: The presentation is related to evaluating performance of Tesco that
improves my knowledge and understanding regarding business concepts and current trends of
business. I have conducted depth research to analyse performance of Tesco in pandemic and
after it. This skill help me to perform operations related to business in future in efficient manner
that me towards growth and success.
T-shirt challenge
T-shirt challenge is regarding producing a t-shirt with attractive logo and design for
promoting brand of Sweet Cake in market. I have decided to print the make of product with
attractive image that spread awareness of product in market. I have decided a specific budget for
completing this challenge that includes variable and fixed cost that are spent on producing t-shirt.
I have conducted advertising and marketing activities on social media platform that influence
customers towards brand and enhance the sales of Sweet Cakes. I have decided to print the l0ogo
in innovative manner that differentiated me work with others (Newell, 2020). I have used neon
colours to print logo that appear in low light and attract people towards brand.
Communication skill: T-shirt challenge is the activity that is related to promoting Sweet
Cake brand with unique and attractive designs and logo through print them on t-shirt. I have
realised that, this challenge has improved by communication skill because I have described logo,
features and product in influencing manner. It enables me to interact with other people and
convince them.
Teamwork: My Institute has provided t-shirt challenge task in group that make me able
to perform operations in group with efficiency. I have taken initiative in group through allocating
work among team members according to their efficient areas. We have performed works such as
conducting promotional activities, design logo and other. It helps me to understand others point
of view and perform efficiently in team to achieve desired outcomes.
Time-management: I have learnt the skill of time management through completing the t-
shirt challenge before deadline. I have ensure that all activities are performed according to time
that enable me to meet desired goals and objectives on time with efficiency.
Business skills: Throughout the process of completing the t-shirt challenge I have leant
various business skills like developing effective planning, designing logo, presenting ideas to

others and perform promotional activities. These skills helps me to perform job in organisation
with efficiency and effectiveness.
Tuckman's theory of teamwork
It is the process that includes different steps that are related to the stage where group first
meet and it continue till the end of project.ï‚· Forming is the phase all team members are introduced with each other and task related to
project are allocate among them. We have decided to discussed skills, background of
each member for completing assignment in time.ï‚· Storming is related to providing reality and weight of completing the project I have
analysed that guidance of leaders are required in this stage because disagreement among
group members are raised that create conflicts.ï‚· Norming stage is related to starting work to attain determined goals with efficiency
(Tuckman’s Theory: Five Stages of Team Development, 2020). I have analysed that there
are conflicts are occurred by they handled by team members with effectiveness.ï‚· Performing stage team members are aware about each other strengths and weaknesses
and perform task with efficiency. I have analysed that, here no supervision is required for
team members.
ï‚· Adjourning is last stage in which project ends and team will disband due to
accomplishment of team goals and objectives. All documentations related to project are
prepared in this stage.
