According to the data provided by statistics, 62% of the population of England were found to be
suffering from overweight.
It was found that 53% of the total population of United Kingdom were affected by obesity in the
past 20 years (Drummond 2018).
According to the collected data, two thirds of the total number of males in the UK population were
affected by obesity condition.
It was also found that six out of ten females were affected by obesity in the United Kingdom

NATIONAL HEALTH POLICY STATED FOR OVERWEIGHT CONTROL
Change4life programme
This policy has been devised by the government of United Kingdom and is implemented in the
Livwell southwest weight management program.
This strategy promotes the use of a health and nutritious diet to prevent the arousal of
overweight among the people of UK (Swales 2019).
Physical activities such as exercises are also included in the features of this policy to burn the
excess fat present in the human body.
Blood cholesterol level can be controlled by focusing of healthy diet and depending on regular
physical exercises.
Livwell southwest weight management program is based on providing weightloss interventions
