Introduction
The project management in construction holds an integral role for the development of the
successful compilation and development of the factors for taking care of the completion of the
project. The project management had been playing a considerable role for the development of the
project activities. The following assignment has been developed for the consideration of the risk
assessment, cost estimation, project schedule, and evaluation of the project schedule for the
project of Great Northern Highway Upgrades (Upper Swan, Western Australia).
Risk Assessment
Risk Assessment deals with the implication of the risk identification and the evaluation
for developing the final risk mitigation planning. The construction projects have many flaws and

The project has been estimated to cost up to 41million dollars considering the work
required to be done in the project including the reconstruction and Widening of Highway,
construction of high strength pavements including HCTCRB, installation of stormwater pipe
network, installation of street lighting and traffic signals at West Swan Road, construction of
medians, traffic islands, dual use paths and cycle paths, and construction of two special spill
capture units at either end of Swan River Bridge. The cost estimation for the project would be

The project has been running for 3 years of time due to its vast work requirements like
reconstruction and Widening of Highway, construction of high strength pavements including

Project Background
The project is developed for implementing the plan for executing the management of the
successful and effective management of the construction management for the project of Great
Northern Highway Upgrades. The implication management had been successive for taking care
of the factors and implication would be implied with the consideration of the consideration for
the management of the successful project completion. The project would include the construction
works like reconstruction and Widening of Highway, construction of high strength pavements
including HCTCRB, installation of stormwater pipe network, installation of street lighting and
traffic signals at West Swan Road, construction of medians, traffic islands, dual use paths and
cycle paths, and construction of two special spill capture units at either end of Swan River
Bridge.
Conclusion
It can be concluded from the assignment that the implication of the successful
management of the implied processes. The overall budget for the project had been listed and
estimated with the help of the bottom up estimation and the complete budget estimate has come
up to be $ 41 million. The project had commenced on Monday 1/28/08 and ended on Thursday
12/9/10 stretching for 749 working days. The completion of the project had been helpful for
developing the widened highway and the west Swan Road.
