GROUP DEVELOPMENT STAGES 2
The group dynamics involves various kinds of settings such as performing business
meetings with the employees, social gathering, and students learning in class. Since in group
dynamics the communication takes place between different group members and people with
different attitude and behavior which results in causing several hindrances while meeting any
desired goal (Forsyth, 2018). The action plan for improving the communication between
different groups is as follows:
1. Forming stage: In the preliminary stage, it is necessary to allow all the group
members to present their own ideas and behavior and later on, all the innovative
ideas need to be combined before the final formulation.
2. Storming stage: In this stage, the arguments are required to be given by the
group members that concentrate on sharing similar goals by the group members.
3. Norming stage: This stage involves various kinds of activities that allow the
group members to perform negotiations with the group members (Levi, 2015).
4. Performing stage: The performing stage is considered to be the final stage that
involves the participation of all the group members for carrying out several
activities in a coordinating manner.
The three major events which resulted in causing the meeting to be ineffective are as
follows:
1. The absence of the vital health care professionals who are required to
participate in the meeting for solving any critical health care issues.
2. The health care professional came unprepared while participating in the
meeting.
