Answer: Performance of a team strongly depends on the team dynamics. Either interaction is
positive or negative, team performance is affected largely. Poor group dynamics has
adverse effects on morale and productivity. It damages morale, undermine productivity
and team would not be able to take right decisions. This results in unproductivity and
unsuccessful outcomes. Positive team dynamics makes team members know their roles
and responsibilities and they help each other in completing tasks.
Question2. Outline strategies that can support team cohesion, participation and performance.
Answer: Strategies that support team cohesion, participation and performance are:
Employees need to work in the direction that allows meeting the organization’s goals
and objectives.
Team consultation is important as it allows clarification of roles and responsibilities
of each team member and makes them ensure that their ideas and brainstorms would
be appreciated. Consultation methods include interviews, meetings, brainstorming
sessions and intranet/email communication.
To make the team understand that how the success and failure of one person in the
team affects the performance of the entire team, team should be made interdependent.
