Introduction Below mentioned assessment contains a data table related to Coronavirus cases reported in various countries over the world followed by the related interpretation of the data. Main Body 3 United States of America India Brazil Russia Federation The United Kingdom France Spain Italy Turkey Germany 0100000002000000030000000 26172274 10790183 9283418 3917918 3871829 3198030 2883465 2583790 2501079 2252001 Cases- Cumulative Total
Interpretation Data above has been taken from WHO and represent total number of confirmed cases of people who have come into contact of coronavirus from different countries in the world. Data above shows top ten countries in the world with highest coronavirus reported cases as on 04thFeb 2021. It can be seen above that USA has reported highest number of cases and has a reported case figure of 26.17 million followed by India which has reported around 10.79 million cases and Brazil which has reported around 9.28 million cases to be top three countries in the world. Based on this data, it can be observed that top three countries come from three different continents of the world – USA from North America, India from Asia and Brazil from South America, which is reflection that coronavirus cases have evenly spread in all corners of the world earning it a title of global pandemic. Another thing that is interesting to notice is that top three countries are among the highest countries in the world by area and population as well which makes their total reported cases in relation to total population not much higher in number. For example, India has population of around 1.3 billion however, it has cases around 9.28 million only which comes to even less than 1%. However, the following countries in the top ten list like UK, Spain, Italy and Germany – all from the continent of Europe are smaller countries in both area and population. This makes their total reported cases in relation to total population much higher in number than top three countries. For example, UK has population of around 66 million however, it has cases around 3.87 million only which comes to more than 5%. 4
