COMMUNICATION OF HEALTH AND INFORMATION
There are several legislations that exist in area of
health and safety so as to provide proper services
which are given in care settings like Winchester and
Eastleigh NHS Trust.
INTRODUCTION
Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974: In this act, several types of issues which are in relation with health, safety at
workplace and welfare around different sectors will be considered. In this act, general obligations are there with
employees so as to give care to patients and also to make coordination with other employers in an organisation.
Health and Safety Regulations, 1981: According to the mentioned case of Winchester and Eastleigh NHS Trust, it
has been stated by this law that employers who are working in health care settings should ensure that there is a
availability of proper first aid equipment, trained employees who will provide first aid and employees are aware of
arrangements of first aid.
Administration of health and safety at work regulations, 1992: Assessment of risk and the recording of
appropriate findings must be done by employers as per this act. Various arrangements must be provided by
employers in order to provide information and training to the people who are working in care settings, emergency
procedures must be set out and working must be done in coordination with other employers who share similar work
area.
