Work health and safety on construction sites is a fundamental issue
Project Objectives
There has been a rise in the number of accidents being reported in the construction industry, a
show that there has been a drop in the work health and safety being considered in the field
(Anon., 2019). There is a need for the society to be given the guidance on how to ensure their
well-being while bringing up structures. Hence, the main objectives of the report will be on:
How to ensuring that the employees in the construction industry are facing less of
accidents, and harmful effects.
Ways to attain the right methods of analyzing the health, safety, and operating conditions
and enforcing the right measures to strategize, control and enforce
Specific Objectives
Increased accidents and harmful effects are a threat to the sustainability of the nation. The human
labor is a vital resource to the progressive well-being of the diverse resources on the planet earth.
While working in the industries, their safety has to be assured by the management embracing
proper working terms and conditions. The human beings who constitute the employers are
needed also to meet specific safety requirements (Anon., 2017).
Deadlines are a significant bit in any progressive industry. Beating the deadlines is an indicator
of order, direction and focus. Employees exhibiting exemplary traits in regard to deadlines are
prone to be rewarded by their bosses. Rushing to meet deadlines has therefore, risen to be the
order of any working day. The workers fail to pay close attention to the finer details of working.
In the midst of working hazards do occur. The stage recognition of the hazards will give
direction on the measure to be embraced. Reckless working makes hazards to be hardly noticed

(Khosrow-Pour, 2018). The lack of awareness result to many being victims of injuries as a
result of the hazard. Understanding the principle of sticking to the steps of working enhances
excellence. Excelling is not only seen in one department but in all sections of the industry. The
front of any activity should be safety. Safety begins with cleanliness. Many have been guided to
deter cleanliness as a measure to preventing accidents. However, working is a set of activities.
The activities embrace a particular order. The workplace has to therefore, be orderly. Injuries
will diminish gradually with the increased degree of orderliness.
Easy maneuvering spells significant excellence. An unclean clutter toughens the ability to
maneuver. Close attention to work progress is interfered with, the hazards get to increase in due
process. The employers become the main victims to the hazards. The complexity observed with
orderliness starts with simple steps. Correct handling of the working tools and storing them after
work is the first step of upholding order at the workplace (Wells, 2017).
Eliminating accidents starts with focus on precautionary practices. Awareness of the actions
needs constant reminders. Construction mangers have the responsibility to remind the employees
on the measures every other day. The treasure associated with the industry will be restored. The
industry has to have proper signs. Attractive signs serve as good reminders. Attraction to the
employee’s eyes has to be considered while setting the signs (Miguel, 2018).
Management is the head and bears the vision of a given industry. The departments have to be
awarded with proper and efficient working managements. The safety and health management
system have to be well constituted. Working will be done in a hasty manner. It will also have to
foster the right policies. Prevention of accidents and ill health is an entire process that has to be
observed. The department has to plan and implement the process in detail, bearing the desired
fruits. Sharing responsibilities boosts effectiveness (Landsberg, 2015). Equivalence in sharing
