INTRODUCTIONHealth care services should be more effective and efficient services to the customers. Byproviding appropriate services to the client (Petch, 2012). Health care services is helpful for theclient. Government provides different types of plans, rules and regulations for the health careservices. This report includes concepts of health, disabilities and behaviour, legislation of thegovernment etc. by providing effective and appropriate health care service to the customer theycan enhance their performance in the industry.TASK 1 1.1 Concept of health, disability, illness and behaviour in relation to users of health and socialcare servicesHealth care services must be effective and efficient for the customers. Concept of socialand health care must be cleared for the health care service provider. They need to provideappropriate services to the customers. Based on the client needs they provide appropriateservices. Health, disability, illness and behaviour are different from each other. Each hasdifferent characteristics and definitions (Drummond and et.al., 2015). HealthHealth means the mental and physical well being of an individual. It indicates a totalgood feelings of a person. There are different types of disease in the world but health care serviceprovider has a responsibility to provide appropriate and effective services to the customer. Basedon the client need they need to provide appropriate services (Phelvin, 2014). Services must begood enough and effective for the client. They have various types of medial, health and socialservices for a customer (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 2012). DisabilityMany persons have disability such as long term physical, mental, intellectual or sensoryetc. these all are the disabilities in the persons. Health care services help to improve theirperformance in a world. Health care services provides different types of tools and techniques tosolve the appropriate problem of a person. They have various technologies to solve the particularproblem (Betancourt and et.al., 2016).IllnessIllness is varied from person to person because each person has different types ofemotions and perceptions. The concepts of illness plays a vital role to diagnose disease and1
sickness. Health care provider provides effective and efficient services that will helpful forappropriate persons (Swayne, Duncan and Ginter, 2012).Discrimination: there are different types of discrimination acts that gives more facilities to theperson. In this case scenario Mr Holland needs the health and social care services such as civilrights and medical services acts that gives appropriate services to them. Stigma helps to seeking out the effective services that can easily improve the Mr. Holland health.They must need the health rights such as freedom and entitlements. It gives the security to theperson to overcome the effect of diseases. 1.2 perceptions of specific needs have changed over time in care homes with respect to differentfactorsPerceptions needs have been changed with the recent change in the time .Earlier healthcare services are not given much importance but now a days more attention is given to the heathcare centres. Health care centres are been made to operate and take care of old age people andthus the centres are made with a view to achieve the well balanced between the system of the oldtraditional systems (Plomin, 2013). Now a days child discrimination is also not included andthus it is a major biggest change to the country and thus the needs and wants of the people arealso changed according to the today's needs (Boulware and et.al., 2016). Now a days people are much aware of the home care centres and most of the people arebeing educated and thus the ratio of well educated members are increased and thus theperception level of the people also increases and now a days people prefer to go to old agehomes because the living condition of the people is not better as compared to the earlier daysbecause most of the people are living abroad and the parents are living in the home town so tospent time with some one they think that old age homes are very beneficial to them (Purnell,2012). Old age policies are also such that people are feeling relaxed by going to the old agehomes. People are much aware about the old age systems with the coming g of the newtechnologies and the awareness is being spread among the public related to old age homes(Stewart and Wild, 2017). So the lifestyle of the people is completely changed according to thechanging minds and awareness. 2
