Over the past few decades, health behavior and change have emerged as one of the most important healthcare challenges in Latin America. One important factor in the shift in health behavior is thought to be the changing lifestyle. In terms of changing Latinas' health behaviors, type 2 diabetes is currently one of the key factors influencing the morbidity and death rates. In the last ten years, Latinas have seen a 24 percent increase in the prevalence of type 2 diabetes. As a result, there is a significant need for an efficient intervention procedure to reduce the behavioral problems in the Latina communities' type 2 diabetes prevention.
