Hispanics belong to one of the minority communities who are seen to suffer from health
disparity in the nation of the United States. Researchers are of the opinion that Hispanic health is
shaped by factors such as the language as well as cultural barriers, lack of access to the
preventive care as well as lack of health insurance. The Centre for the disease control and the
prevention had put forward certain important causes of illness and death among the minority
groups that are much higher in percentage than the majority white population (Li et al., 2015).
These are seen to include heart disorders, unintentional injuries, stroke, diabetes and many
others. Some of the risk factors that are more common to affect this minority group in
comparison to the whites are asthma, COPD, obesity, HIV, liver disorder and suicide.
The specialty of nursing information technology is that this type of specialty integrates
nursing science with multiple information management as well as analytical sciences. This helps
in the identification, definition, management as well as help in communication data,
development of information knowledge and even wisdom in the nursing practice. This specialty
helps in managing and communicating data as well as information to the consumers, nurses,
patients, patients as well as healthcare providers. This would help the professionals in collecting
important statistical data about different aspects of the community and would help in collecting
information about them which when provide to nurses would ensure best quality care for them.
They have poor financial security, low educational attainment, low language fluency and many
others that affect their health behaviors (Creamer et al., 2016). Therefore, nursing informatics
would help the other nurses to know about these issues and thereby help them and guide them to
ensure best quality are.
Culturally competent care is extremely important for enhancing the development of
therapeutic relationship with the patients. This would ensure maintenance of autonomy and
