Health and care management is defined as the efforts which are made in the planning, directing activities within the health care system for patients who are in need of the care services (Wager, Lee and Glaser, 2021). Thus, the essay will analyse the workplace stressors to staff working in the health and care sectorin reference to the case study which is of Mr. Thompson having health issue of facing burnout. Further, the stressors will be discussed which impacts the performance and the well-being of the carers, service clients and teams. Moreover, strategies to minimize the stressors will also be explained in more detail manner. Component Part 1 Question 1 Exploringworkplacestressorstostaffworkinginthehealthandcaresectorand considering how the stressors impact on the performance and well-being of carers, teams and service clients and identifying the strategies to minimize these stressors Workplace stress is the stress which affects the physical and emotional response that happens when there is a conflict between job demands on the employee and the resistance of control an employee has over meeting these demands. There are some major workplace stressors which affects the staff working in the health and care sector and these are mentioned as - Burnout (Rasool and et.al., 2020). Conflicts with patients, co-workers and other health care professionals. Communication breakdown. These are some major workplace stressors to staff working in the health and care sector for the patient who is Mr. Thompson is having more dependency levels. In the case of Mr. Thompson, the issue is that there has been increase in the dependency of the care services which is making Mr. Thompson rely more on care services. Rather, there is certain care which can be provided to Mr. Thompson also his family is concerned about his health (Foy and et.al., 2019).The family is also complaining about the care team which is causing break in the communication and is increasing stress at different levels to all the people who are involved. The workplace stressors which have been identified are the aspects which are determining the concerns regarding the stress which is caused to the staff working within the health and care sector. Due to burnout, conflicts with patients, co-workers and other health care professionals have been affected at large scale. These workplace stressors have created problems which are
determinedofhowineffectivelythereareaspectswhicharephysicallyandemotionally damaging the thought processes of the health care staff (Ravalier, 2019).The major reason for the workplace stress which has been caused inMr. Thompson's case is that there has been communication breakdown for providing the care services to Mr. Thompson. This has caused major problem and has involved the whole family and other healthcare professionals and staff members having stress. The problem of Mr. Thompson which is related to his health is that Mr. Thompson is relying more on proper health care services. This has been the aspect of how the communication barriers and causing the workplace stress to the staff which is working within the health and care sector. The stressors impact on the performance and well-being of carers, teams and service clientswhichare—burnout,conflictswithco-workers,patientsandotherhealthcare professionalsandcommunicationbreakdown(Fosterandet.al.,2020).Amongallthese workplace stressors there has been one major stress aspects which is in the case of Mr. Thompson and that is due to communication breakdown there has been stress which has caused within all the individuals who are involved, and they are — family, staff working and other healthcare professionals at large scale. Due to stress which has been created at the workplace, there has been a great impact on the performance and well-being of carers, teams and service clients as they are facing the burnout in providing care services to Mr. Thompson. The workplace stressors impacts the performance of how the carers are taking care of the patient who is Mr. Thompson. The teams and service clients are also impacted and this hinders their performance largely within health and care sector. Burnout makes the carers, teams and service clients more prone to tiredness and ill health. This makes their performance weaker which then contributes less in taking care of the Mr. Thompson at large scale (Lovejoy and et.al., 2021).Due to communication breakdown the performance of carers, teams and service clients is also impacted and this results in failure while taking care of the patients. Mr. Thompson and family is also having complaints about the communication breakdown which is causing more stress to all the people who are involved for providing care of Mr. Thompson. Burnout has caused excessive and prolonged emotional, physical and mental stress. Due to this, there is more turnover and disengagement of the carers, teams and service clients who are involved. Also, conflicts with patients, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals impacts their performance for taking care of the patients as in this case,
taking care of Mr. Thompson (Ryan, Bergin and Wells, 2021).There have been many problems and issues which Mr. Thompson and family have been facing while providing care. It is very important to analyse and address the problems and solve them immediately so that Mr. Thompson and family are not facing any problem while taking care of Mr. Thompson. The stress has to be managed effectively so that the performance of carers, teams and service clients is not impacted. Therefore, it is very important to improve the performance of the carers, teams and service clients so that proper health and care facilities are being provided to Mr. Thompson and relieve them from major burnout issues. Strategies to minimize the stressors which areburnout, conflicts with co-workers, patients and other health care professionals, communication breakdown. There are certain strategies which helps in analysing and identifying the aspects and strategies of how to remove the workplace stressors in health and care sector which is very necessary. These strategies are determined and explained as follows - Encouraging open communication — This is very important strategies which should be followed by the carers, teams and with patients. With the help of open communication many issues, problems will be solved as in the case of Mr. Thompson. Offering physical and mental health benefits to the carers, health care professionals so that they are relived from stress (Agarwal and et.al., 2021). Bringing meditation periods at the workplace so that the carers, healthcare professionals and service clients are able to focus on performing good. This will also help them in improving their health and there will be more increased level of patience which will be incurred by them. Considering flexible work schedules for the staff working in the health and care sector. This will also help in initiating the concerns which are related to working in appropriate times and delivering proper care facilities to the patients. Encouraging carers, healthcare professionals, service clients to take breaks in their shifts. This will help in gaining more energy and engaging them to perform better and taking care of the patients by providing them care in appropriate manner (Olson and et.al., 2019). These are some major strategies which will help in realizing and minimizing the stress which the carers, healthcare professionals and services clients are facing within health and care

Therefore, it is concluded from the essay that workplace stressors to staff working in the health and care sector were explained in reference to the case study which is of Mr. Thompson having health issues. Further, the stressors such as burnout, conflicts between co-workers etc. and communication breakdown were discussed which impacted the performance and the well- being of the carers, service clients and teams. Moreover, strategies to minimize the stressors were also discussed and explained in detail. These were regarding the case study which was based on care to be provided to Mr. Thompson for his health issue which is burnout and his family concerned for the care services to be provided.
