This document is an analysis and evaluation of an article that discusses the preparedness of Omani novice nurse educators to assume the role of faculty. The article uses a quantitative research design to assess the competencies of nurse educators in Oman. The study found that there were five major competencies that indicated a nurse educator's preparedness, including evaluation strategies, facilitation of learning, working as change agents, participating in curriculum design, and developing roles as educators. The findings showed that 53% of the nurses had these competencies.
