The Five stages of Gibbs model of reflection Description-A project was conducted which included the description regarding PHI which is the health insurance that is often bought by private patients. There are number of direct type of health insurance such as direct and indirect which have different ways of premium collection that I came to know while I was working on this project. It was important to understand the concept and make everyone else do the same. I have always been hesitant to take the lead. Due to this the group have to face issues while choosing a leader as no one is willing to take this responsibility. Feelings-At the beginning of the task it was important for everyone in group to understand the concept of PHI. Along with it the necessity to bring everyone in group together towards the same purpose was important. There are a number of instances where I had a mixed intention regarding my team and all its members. We were confused as the strengths and weaknesses of everyone in team was not clear. It was important to make communication and decide on what is important for group and derive a plan to complete the project on time. Evaluation-While everyone in group came up with new ideas and there own way to complete the task we also had to face some issues between some members in groups. Due to different backgrounds and culture it was difficult for everyone to accept the point of view of others. I made sure to make efforts and communicate to everyone in order to understand their mind set. It was a good experience knowing everyone and working with them. Conclusion-After the evaluation of tasks related to project and also evaluation of strengths and weakness of everyone in team wecame on a conclusion to choose a leader and divide tasks amongst all the team members. There were division of tasks made on the basis of introduction to project, various impact of PHI in different nations, demand in different economies, its advantages, disadvantages and then recommendation at the end. The division of tasks made it easy to assign every one with their activities. Action-After the division of task a schedule was made. We decided to meet twice a week in order to discuss the development of each activities allotted to group members. It was necessary to conduct these meeting in order to understand if any of the individual is stuck or need helps. The project was really helpful for me to generate good communication skills and time management skills as well. I learned ways to handle conflicts. When working in a team it is
necessary for people to work together taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of others. It is also necessary to develop good listening skills which I did while working on this project. Good listening skills allowed me to listen carefully to my team members and take their opinion in my work. It is necessary to accept criticism in order to do better which I understood while completing this task.
