Physical as well structural damage are occurring in the cultural heritage
assets.
The beauty of the creation is diluting
This is casting upon a negative impact on the heritage tourism .
The revenue from the heritage tourism is declining
Other challenges in the way of protecting heritage tourism include lack
of cooperation on the part of the government to promote heritage tourism.
Inefficiency in the assessment of the historical sites that needs to be
renovated
Inappropriate fund provided by the government to protect cultural
heritage sites. Less number of awareness programs
Lack of integrated cultural tourism plan
Lack of sources for creative financing to protect cultural heritage sites.
Again there is dearth of consciousness among the communities to protect
cultural heritage which create obstacle in promoting heritage tourism in
Australia (Stateheritage.wa.gov.au, 2019)
Lack inappropriate educational framework as well as cultural campaigns
that can educate the students or younger generation about the values of

The design of the poster carries some of the remarkable cultural heritages of Australia as shown above (Norman and Vogel 2016). The pictures of those beautiful sites signify
that Australia needs to take fruitful steps in order to save its cultural heritage make provision for the indigenous and foreign tourists to cherish the charm and elegance of the
cultural heritage of Australia. Cultural heritage tourism of Australia have the potentiality to become the source of a large amount of revenue which will cast upon a positive
impact on the economy of Australia. The cultural sites that are considered to be of great importance are – Australian convict sites, Sydney Opera House, Royal Exhibition
Building, Tasmania Wilderness and so on. These sites previously contributed to the high level of income from the Heritage Tourism in Australia. The scenario has changed
recently. The income from the heritage tourism has been showing lower growth rate since a few years. This may be attributed to the ignorance of the government as well as the
communities , lack of integrated plans as well as programs to protect cultural heritage sites. Research studies have recommended several measurement to fight with this
problem. The measurements are :
Establishment of a heritage tourism alliance., so that a high quality tourism experience can be developed . This alliance may involve representatives from SATC, South
Australian Heritage Council, History SA, National Trust, Australia ICOMOS, Australian Institute of Maritime Archaeology (Norman and Vogel 2016).
Looking at the degradation of cultural heritage sites, some expert suggested action plans that aim to address the key government agencies which are in charge of the successful
implementation of the heritage Tourism Strategies in Western Australia.
The channelization of the resources to renovate the cultural heritage sites. Make the welfare parties engage with the work of renovation, focusing on building partnership
motivate them. Arranging awareness campaigns (Liburd and Becken 2017).
Development of promotional strategies for heritage tourism which are concrete.
Designing effective regional as well as international ad campaigns for the promotion of heritage tourism within and outside Australia.
