Introduction
Community health care facilities are the healthcare organisation that works within a
community collaborating with the community members and other healthcare providers. This type
of organisation provides their service to the people and help to access different facilities being
provided by the government and non-government organisation (Knapp, et al.,. 2018). Diabetes is
the health that occurs as the result of the pancreatic inability to produce enough insulin the body
does not respond to the produced insulin effectively. In other words, insulin resistance is the
main cause of this health condition. According to the world health organisation (2019), the
number of individual suffering from these health issues has risen from nearly 108 million in
1980 to nearly 422 million in the year of 2014. The worldwide prevalence of this diabetes among
young people over the age of 18 has increased from about 4.7 per cent in 1980 to around 8.5 per
cent in 2014. Particularly in 2016, the estimated death caused by this health condition was 1.6
million (Thiruvoipati, Kielhorn, & Armstrong, 2015).

Resourcefulness
Even in healthcare organizations with apparently massive budgets, possessions always
appear to be in shorter compared to the ideal supply. People continuously demand for additional
time, more and more accomplished job candidates, fewer controlling constraints, and additional
budget for the healthcare department or new program (de Zulueta, 2016). Me as a leader will
learn to be creative so that I can solve difficulties for myself and for my teams. I will get input,
assign resources for supreme impact, and discover innovative methods to stimulate and empower
my teams to bring superior patient upkeep. I will also learn convincing skills so that I can get
more stakeholders to invest in my nursing facility.
Decision-making ability
Although as an experienced nurse manage I have those abilities to make the decision on
my own, but there are more requirements to learn this skill in order to grow my health care
facility in the area. Being as nurse manager I will have to make a decision related to the patient,
the programs necessary for awareness, and for recruiting innovative and self-motivated staff. I
think Recruiting the staff is the most difficult task in any organization, as this will decide how
fast the organization will grow.
Communication skills

challenging for me to handle both staff and patient. For that, I will have to learn more
communication skills. Communication is the key essential factor in every organization and in the
healthcare setting is become more essential to develop a therapeutic relationship with the patient
and the staff. The therapeutic relationship helps in increasing patient satisfaction and job
satisfaction among the staff. It has been identified that staff having a rude and careless head,
have less job satisfaction and more likely to leave their jobs (Borkowski, 2015). As my
organization is new, I have to work collaboratively with my staff and encourage them to work
effectively, and this requires learning effective communication skills. Holding staffs accountable
is not completed with the iron fist; it can be done by communicating prospects evidently, setting
native goals cooperatively, and making sure individuals stick to the promises they made to
towards their job and the healthcare organization. For instance, throughout a Lean
transformation, parts and duties at all stages will alter as an outcome of process developments.
Staffs will have a chance to deliver input and project these alterations by their contribution to
event groups. It is serious that all affected health care employees understand the alterations
through recurrent communications and exposed forums through which they are able to raise their
voice worries and seek explanation (de Zulueta, 2016).
Emotional intelligence
Health care frontrunners must have an improved ability to identify spoken, unspoken and
bodily signals and take essential steps to handle worker and patient anxieties. These complicated
clues disclose profound personal and ethnic requirements. By assessing the setting in which
nurse staff associates or patients discuss their worries, health care frontrunners understand the

Strategies to empower staff members
Empowering the staff members is another essential factor that enhances the job

achieve everything precisely as I would have, nonetheless they can get the work completed with
their individual ability (Rankin, Russell, Matthews, & Pollard, 2017).
Communicating a clear visualization
As a manager and a frontrunner, it is my job to get everybody on the identical page.
Individuals that do not understand what they are expected to be working will not be capable to
complete their works effectively. Me as a leader must clearly describe the roles of my staff so
they can understand their responsibilities and do not step on one another's toes
Inspire self-improvement
When the health care employees acquire new abilities it is healthier for the organization
as a complete (Chiapperino, & Tengland, 2016). Me as the nurse manager will support my staff
to have continuous education or lessons outdoor of the healthcare setting so that they can
improve their personal growth, which will ultimately help in patient satisfaction. If will not be
able to support my employees with financial resources, at least I can be supple with their
timetables to an assured degree. I will encourage them to learn more skills that can help them to
improve their career.
Valuing their opinion
I want my nurses, midwives and other employees to understand that their views are
appreciated in order to truly empower them. A modest signal, for example, leaving my office

discussion and suggestion. Adopting this open door policy will show all my employees that I
care about what they actually think while allowing them to provide their advice for the company
and play an active role in this healthcare setting.
Delegating more than simply work
As a manager or leader, itโs unavoidable that I will have to give work to my staff, but I
will ensure that it is not the one thing I am passing down. On different occasions, I will ask a
staff associate to lead an essential conference, even if it is for less time. Sharing the programs
that persons and community members will notice can be an effective strategy. This will display
staffs that they possess an actual impact on the successfulness of the healthcare setting (Choi,
Goh, Adam, & Tan, 2016).
Learning flexibility
To be an effective leader and to empower my staff I have to be flexible with my staffs as
things arise. Possibly I will try a different agenda that permits my staff to breaks for the specific
tome. And they can come after 20 to 30 minutes late, this allows them to avoid being tensed for
reaching the healthcare setting on time.

a task, for example, developing a therapeutic communication is the essential task in any
healthcare facility, and different nurses have their own ways to communicate with the patient to
accomplish the task. Every leader must understand that there are many difficulties to be resolved
and there are different better methods to solve them, therefore they must use the minds around
them and inspire your healthcare providers to share innovative solutions (Wandersman, Alia,
Cook, & Ramaswamy, 2015). Placing the challenge in the employeeโs hands will not simply
save some of my headaches, nonetheless, it is also probable that I will get a better end outcome.
Show you appreciate their efforts
It is obvious that the healthcare members should be available on every working day, but it
is always helpful to grant some leaves to the employees if there is no emergency in the
department. Rewarding and appreciating employees always help in encouraging them to work
more effectively. Rewards allow the health care providers to realize that their efforts are being
noticed by the management. The new nurses can be encouraged more with this strategy
(Karamitri, Talias, & Bellali, 2017).

dealing with communities. They will make posters and gather local healthcare providers. The
diabetes nurse will educate the people about the disorder and how they can manage their health

symptoms associated with diabetes and go to the diagnostic centre. Nurse assistant will help the
diabetes nurse and public health nurse in organizing the tests such as blood sugar levels, and

Dealing with office issues
My healthcare organisation named St. Stephan education and diagnostic centre for
diabetes is opened on 23rd May 2019. Having a meeting with my team is my first activity of the
day to assign the task to my employees and to listen to their suggestion. After having my
breakfast I entered my office and suddenly I noticed that loud voices are coming from the
Hallway. I called my assistant and asked him about the situation. He told me that two of my
nurses are debating in an inappropriate way about how the supplies are ordered for the Unit.
Having such incidents on the first day of opening the healthcare facility is really shocking for me
as I was expecting a healthy start, although the nurses were not aware that I was there inside my

views of both nurses and after a long discussion, I came to know that they were actually
concerned about the healthy start of the healthcare facility and wanted that the best supplies must
be ordered for the setting. Here active listening helped in observing the situation. First of all, I
appreciated them to think in favour of the organisation, and then I made them understand that
both of them are working for the organisation. I made them understand that their main goal is to
provide their best services to the patient not being concerned about the supplies as it will be
solved by a collaborative approach to get the best supplies in the best way. I also told them your
opinion will be appropriated but you both must have discussed with me first as we are in this

worsening of this health condition is the lack of knowledge and information about diabetes. I am
