HISTORY OF UNITED STATES1A.Andrew Jackson had held office from 1829-37. There are two absolute beliefs thatJackson had as a political leader. He had brought these along with him when he entered theoffice of the president of the United States. These beliefs are enlisted below.Reduction of the functions of the federal government. This resulted in theexistence of the dichotomy. He had also promoted the economic programs thatreduced the power of the government (Remini, 2013).The presence of a committed and forceful leadership in the presidential postand the preservation of the Union. In this manner, the supremacy of thenational government during the critical period of the Nullification Crisis`B.The greatest crisis that took place during the times of Andrew Jackson is theNullification crisis. This was a sectional crisis in the fields of politics, which took place in theyears 1832-33. This crisis involved a confrontation between the federal government andSouth Carolina (Tindall & Shi, 2016). The crisis took shape after South Carolina deemed thefederal tariffs of 1832 and 1828 to be unconstitutional. Thus, South Carolina had declaredthem to be invalid within the boundaries of the sovereign state of South Carolina. Theeconomy of the U.S. suffered a huge downturn during the 1820s. South Carolina wasparticularly affected during the crisis period.C.Andrew Jackson had held office of the president during the time of the NullificationCrisis that affected the U.S. economy during the nineteenth century. South Carolina hadthreatened to secede during the 1832 November, which would follow the re-election of the
