development like workshops and seminars through discounts.

ANMF to every member.

4. Briefly discuss how you would explain the health care benefits to a client whilst in
hospital according to the following health care funding:
a.) Medicare scheme
b.) Private health insurance-highest coverage
c.) Veterans’ Affairs-Gold card
(30-80 words on each of the three benefits- 3 marks for each correctly explained)
1. Under MBS (Medicare Benefits Scheme), a person will be get 100
percent refund on general practitioner fee while visiting a doctor outside
hospital and 85 percent refund if it is a specialist. Nothing have to be paid
by the patients, if the doctor billed the Medicare directly.
2. Benefits of Private health insurance are as follows
- Priority will be given to the patients and no waiting list in public
hospital
- Dental cover will be provided
- Money back facility available on non- Medicare health services
- Long term savings for health coverage
3. Veterans’ Affairs-Gold card covers all the benefits provided by the MBS
(Medicare Benefits Scheme). Holders can also avail the service of a
specialist listed under MBS. Additionally, holders will also have access to
the services like dental services, chiropractic services, dietetic services
etc.
