INTRODUCTION
The policy which is considered for this report is homeless reduction act of 2017. This act
was introduced in April 30th, 2019 and also brought new legal obligations on local authorities so
that every person who is homeless or at the risk of becoming homeless will tends to gain access
ability towards effective support instead of their status as long as they need proper help. The
main objective of this homeless reduction act is to prevent the high rate of homelessness in
England. The primary welfare ideology that impact this policy (homeless reduction act) is
welfare state (Brown and Wincup, 2020). This type of government leads to put emphasis on
promoting and protecting the social and economic well-being of their citizen. The housing act
also put emphasis on doing the same by offering effective housing system and provide proper
opportunity to every individual in order to gain houses for living and reduce forces that bring
homelessness in UK.
The basic welfare principle to which this policy is concerned shows the intention to enhance
economic and social wellness of individuals to have a house for living which is linked but all of
these factors with the whole community. The chosen document for this report is homeless
reduction act and opted company is Shelter which is a non-voluntary charity entity who organise
campaigns to reduce the homelessness and bad housing in UK. The report leads to put focus on
the aims and objectives of shelter and its scope of working in regard of the services for
prevention policy search and campaigning. Along with this, the primary focus of this report is on
the social problems and objectives which are highlighted in the document considering the
principles and arguments of the chosen document.

The overall objective of chosen charity company “Shelter” is to offer campaigns that seek
to end the homelessness issues in UK and also offer advice and advocacy to the people who are
on edge to being homeless. The company tends to put emphasis on tackling the legislative issues
which are concerned with the homelessness for the creation of laws that support ending
homelessness in the country. The company leads to support the cause of ending homelessness in
UK by several initiatives and strategies. On the local level the firm offer suitable advice and
