Considering current market situation wherein, managers and leaders of various
business organisation have not only to deal with various uncertainties in the market but also
have to undergo operational activities of the firm with presence of intense competition in the
given market. At present with respect to various health issues brought up by newly
introduced coronavirus, which had caused its impact in effective working of almost every
sector of business (Chon, 2019). However, business in hospitality sector have shown an
unexpected rise. The information could be well verified, if stats of investment data is
analysed, as most of the GDP growth of a nation is from the hospitality sector. Such sectors
are not only treated as a source of profit making for a given economy of the country, on the
other hand such sectors of an economy is sense of prestige and is an attraction model for
tourism in respective nation. In the present report operational working of Hilton is being
taken into consideration.

Hilton group of hotel is an American multinational company which has its wide
market presence in international markets worldwide. Chosen hotel have its headquarters in
Virginia, US and was founded 101 years ago i.e. 1919 in Texas, US by Conrad Hilton, also it
is currently operated by its current CEO i.e. Christopher J. It can be evaluated that, trading
business of respective firm has shown a rise. This could be due to various factors consisting
internal as well as external.
As per the data of “Market Watch” being presented by Market Watch Automation,
shares of Hilton worldwide, showed an increment of 1.00% to $1266.66 this Tuesday i.e. 6
April, 2021. It can be analysed that, there is a significant increase in value of prices of shares
of respective company in its share market, due to its excellence in operational working and
extracting better productivity with its available resources (Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. stock
outperforms market on strong trading day, 2021). From the presented stats, it could be easily
determined that, respective company is one of the preferred and most liked company’s for
present investors in given marketplace. With addition to that, with its increase in capital, this
will provide wide oppourtunity to the firm in fields of completion of desired goals and
objectives and will ultimately enhance growth of the firm in its various market regions.

MAIN BODY
As per the case study provided, chosen hotel i.e. Hilton is receiving millions of pound
investment over the course of current financial year i.e. 2021-2022, aiming at growth of
respective hospitality industry. Being an operational management of a hotel, some of the
requirements that are to be drawn out for enhancing growth of respective hotel are as follows:
Current requirements in Hospitality sector
Accommodations
Various managers of hotels oversees various areas of concentration which seeks for
improvements in a hospitality industry. One of the basic requirement in such sectors is to
provide excellence in housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, security and many more such
services. Manager of a hotel firm has to ensure that such facilities are provided to valuable
guests of the hotel (Chon and Zoltan, 2019). Therefore, managers of the firm hires various
individual to enable pure dedication of work being produced in the hotel. That ultimately
contributes towards better brand image of hotel in its respective marketplace.
Food and Beverages
This element of offerings in various hospitality sectors are to be most taken care of by

hotel was praised in recent share market, which lead to increment in financial resources of the
firm. There are certain advantages and disadvantages of creating a new dynamic event space,
which needs to be considered before investing huge sum of amount.
Banquet Hall
Advantages
 With growing demand of destination wedding and seeking to quality of services at the
special night for couples, this could prove to be productive approach of the hotel.
 This would help in increased in profits of the business firm and hotel services will get
sense of recognition from organising such wedding events and would ultimately
contributes to increase in brand image of company in given marketplace.
 By offering addition packages, hotel industry can father get expose to multiple fields
of operations and can expand its branches of operations in various region of
operations.
Disadvantages
 Due to lack of uniqueness of approach, it could lead to shifting up of demands to
lowest prices with similar or better quality.

 It might lead to burden on hotel industry, as lot of management is required in this
field.
 There is less scope for hotel industry as in such events all variety of foods and
beverages are not offered to individuals, with light to the fact of limited budget of
respective customer of the firm.
A complete new Gym and spa upgrade in regards to facilities, offering and rebranding
Wellness and fitness is being considered as one of major goals of their respective
lives. Therefore, by looking to such behaviours in various market region of hotel Hilton
working. Developing a new gym as well as spa facility would help towards developing better
potential of the firm towards its competitive edge and will enhance goodwill of the firm in its
given market region (Melissen and et. al., 2019). As there would be huge investment of
financial resources for attaining the desired objectives of the firm. Management department
of the firm is suggested to have a look towards various advantages of these sector.
Advantages
 By extending to such sectors of business operations managers and leaders of the firm
would not only establish wide market presence in the given market but also will get
access to completion of social responsibilities in given society of the workforce.
 This sector will promote better lifestyle and fitness of various consumers taking
services. Therefore, by this way, hotel industry can also promotes its various
hospitality services being delivered in its various regions of operations.
Disadvantages
 Lack of uniqueness could cause trouble to respective hospitality sector.
Gym and Spa equipment have to maintain under high maintenance cost that would demand
high operating cost for the business firm (Van der Wagen and White, 2018).
RECOMMENDATIONS
As considering various fluctuations in given markets of business sectors, managers
and leaders of the firm have to conduct research programs on regular basis which would
enhance effective working of the operational firm in its given region of operations. There are
some recommendations to be drawn out for the respective firm on the basis of two proposals
being presented above in this report.

For Conferencing hall and wedding market
 Uniqueness: It is recommended to the hospitality firm that, by producing uniqueness
in operational activity would help to overcome various challenges and issues faced in
this growth sector. This would help managers of the firm to develop better
presentation of hotel services and will also contributes towards better market presence
of company in its various regions of operations. Moreover, this will also help
respective hospitality industry to develop better potential of the firm with regards to
dealing with various competitors of the firm.
 Separate department: By separating a department to manage such events, will help
manager to draw various operational activities to be conducted in this sector and to
fullest of effective utilisation of provided resources of the company. It is to
recommend to respective firm that, regulating a separate department should be well
communicated in order to prove towards its bets efficiency. As lack of
communication will lead to improper plans and would rather lead to failure in
attainment of desired goals and objectives of the business firm.
For Gym and Spa
 Innovation: By offering innovative services and products to various valuable
customers of the business firm in its given region will help in developing better brand
image of various products and services being offered by hospitality industry in its
various regions of operations. Innovating with respect to gym equipment’s and even
services would create a separate fan base for offerings of respective company in its
given region of operations.
 Forming budget: By forming up of a decent budget plan will largely prove to be great
help to management department of the firm. This would prove to be effective tool to
overcome challenge of maintaining high operational cost. By dedicating a respective
budget to each operational department of operation in a business firm, will solve the
issue relating to lack of financial resources when needed in the industry.
Therefore, recommendation will help managers and leaders of respective industry to take
an effective and correct decision. As by analysing respective business environment of chosen
firm, managers of the firm are suggested to follow the mentioned recommendation. This will
provide all the factors which will impact on effective decision making of the firm and will

contributes towards its effective operational activities towards attainment of desired goals and
objectives of the firm.

From the above presented report, it could be analysed that hotel industry provides
wide of facilities to their valuable customers. It is evaluated in the given report that various
suggestions and recommendations are drawn out for managers and leaders of respective hotel
to expand its working in desired sectors. Various advantages and disadvantages would prove
to be helpful to managers of the firm to make correct decision of investment of their financial
resources in the given sector. Lastly, to provide clarity of key reaching, recommendations are
being drawn out for enabling firm to undertake correct decisions and make effective use of
oppourtunity. The recommendation to be drawn out of first proposal (Creating a new
dynamic event space for conferencing and wedding market) is to innovate and use more
technical means to overcome disadvantage of this field. Carried with another proposal,
developing exceptional gym and spa facility would help in effective resource utilisation and
will attract more customers.
