Introduction
Hospitality and tourism system are aspects that have become one of the most crucial and
critical aspect for any country’s development and economic benefits. Abodeeb, Wilson and
Moyle (2015) mentions the beneficial aspects of tourism and mentioned its importance in several
country’s source of welfare. In Australia, hospitality and tourism is associated with generation of
jobs, investment and growth of economic benefits and growth of communities (Lawton and
Weaver 2015). However, one of the primary reasons for the increased demand of Australian
tourist destination is its accurate information and information.
This paper would discuss about the tourist destination Gold Coast, Australia and in
discussion would provide details about its attractions, its amenities, accessibilities and the
ancillary services, which will develop a travel booklet for this location.
The location
The tourist destination chosen for this discussion is Gold Coast Australia, which is a
metropolitan region, situated in the South of Brisbane and on the eastern coast of Australia. This
location is full of natural and scenic attractions in which, sandy beaches and surfing spots
prevails (Abodeeb, Wilson and Moyle 2015).
Attractions
Gold Coast Australia is a complete year round tourist destination, which could be visited
in all seasons, winters and summers (Sarmiento and El Hanandeh 2018). However, April to
October is the most popular time, when 25% of the tourists visit this place as the weather is
warm. This metropolitan region is popular for its inland canals, waterways, sandy beaches, and

natural as well as artificial surfing spots (Abodeeb, Wilson and Moyle 2015). Besides this, it also
involves theme parks such as Dreamworld, Wet’n’wild, sea world, lamington’s national Park and
home of several rare birds with presence of rainforest. Besides this, the nightlife of this tourist
destination is another major attraction as Q1 building with sky Point arranges for vibrant
nightlife events. Further, there are multiple casino, surfing contests such as the Quicksilver Pro
and Surf Contests (occurs between February and March), with swimming running and boating
competition occurs in this tourist destination (Sarmiento and El Hanandeh 2018). Moreover,
there are multiple sanctuaries and national parks that protect endangered animals such as
Tamborine Rainforest park with skywalk, David Fleay Wildlife Park and others also attracts
large number of tourists in this tourist location (Abodeeb, Wilson and Moyle 2015).
Amenities
There are more than 300 big and small hotels with luxurious and general facilities to
serve the needs of the tourists (Abodeeb, Wilson and Moyle 2015). There are multiple facilities
that are provided to the tourist and depending upon these the charges may vary from AUD 100 to
AUD 1000. Amenities include locations close to the major tourist attractions, adjacent to
magnificent Broadwater, calm and beautiful family areas and others due to which the price range
may vary (Sarmiento and El Hanandeh 2018). With multiple restaurants, hotels, takeaway
service and café, the hospitality and tourism associated food and beverage industry takes care of
every taste of tourists for their positive and happy family time. Therefore, depending upon the
location, amenities, services and the ability of the tourist to spend, the facilities and services are
provide to the tourists in the process (Dedekorkut-Howes and Bosman 2015).
