INTRODUCTION Hospitality industry provides variety of services such as lodging, event planning, theme parks, cruise line, travelling, lodging etc. The study has highlight various stages of HR life cycle i.e., recruitment, education, motivation, evaluation, celebration and its importance in order to retain and develop talent in an organisation. The study has also cover performance management plan. The study also discuss various legislation which the hospitality sector has to take care of. Legislation such as consumer protection act, data protection act, health and safety law etc., has been explained. The potential impact of contract law, company law and employment law has also been discussed. The importance of interrelation between various department of organisation has also been explained. Various methods of communication, monitoring and coordination has also been explained which help in order to strengthen the value chain. In order to explain all the above information a Titan Travel has been taken in a study. Titan travel is a UK based company. The company has been offering touring holidays from past 35 years. LO 2 P4. Stages of HR lifecycle Recruitment: Any business success depends upon the people working with their organisation. The combined effort of people working with the organisation results in success of organisation. Hiring a right employee for the organisation is most critical decision which a HR executive perform(5 Stages of human resources life cycle need of improvement, 2019). The HR executive of Titan Travel should create a strategic plan in order to recruit right people for the organisation. Here strategic plan should include the criteria which should be used in order to measure that if the particular candidate is fit for the job or not. Secondly a fair compensation package should be planned in order to attract new and talented candidate.Lastly an interview procedure should be planned which include written test and other interview requirements(Gupta, 2019). Education :Once the HR executive has completed selection process the next step is to educate the employees. The HR executive should communicate the culture of company with the new employees. Proper training should be provided to them. In order to make them fully understand
the working of a company the new employees should be assigned with the co-worker. A proper induction programme should be held. Motivation :It has been seen that in the first ninety days the rate of turnover is high. The reason behind this is lack of motivation. Therefore HR executive should try to make bond with employees and should also ensure that the leaders within organisation properly assistnew employees. The HR executive should try to engage employees in work. Should provide them reasonsin order to remain motivated. A benefits and opportunities related to particular post should be clarified(HUSSAIN, 2019). Evaluation :HR executive of Titan Travel should evaluate the performance of employees. A proper feedback should be given so that employees can improve their performance. A proper training and professionals development training will help the employees to reach their goals. Celebration :HR executive should celebrate the success of their staff. The employees should be thanked for the efforts they have put in order to achieve an overall goal of organisation. Importance for retaining and developing talent : Retaining employees is an critical factor for almost every organisation. HR lifecycle play an important role in retaining and developing new talent in an organisation. The HR life cycle if properly implemented by HR executive will help the company to retain employees in Titan Travel. HR lifecyle helps HR not only with recruitment and selection but also it provides proper training to employees and help them in their development. As many programme were designed under the process which helps in development of employees. The lifecycle provides a proper feedback to employee which make clear to employees that what are expected of them. Therefore it can be said that HR lifecycle plays an important role in retaining and developing talent. P5. Performance management plan and techniques to avoid negative behaviour and overcome staff retention An HR executive can use the performance management plan in order create continuous development in Titan Travel. Asses current performance :The HR executive of Titan Travel should asses the current performance of employees of the organisation. The HR executive should try to align the employees of organisation with the companies goal. In order to asses the current performance and to avoid the negative behaviour of employees the HR executive should listen to the concerns of employee.

Share new performance management strategy: If any change is done in strategy it should be communicated with the other leaders and managers. A proper training should be provided to managers and employees so that they can achieve target. Establish OKR : The HR executive of Titan Travel should create a SMART goal i.e., such goal which are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and can be achieved within a specific time. Keep track of progress :The HR executive should track the performance of each employee as well as whole team. As it will help the manager to review productivity. Reward should be given to employees for their performance it helps in motivating employees and avoid the negative behaviour of employee toward the organisation(Shields and et.al., 2015). Evaluation: HR executive should continuously check the progress of performance management process. It should be checked by manager that whether the plan is successful or not and the necessary improvement should be made in performance management plan.
LO 3 P6. Legislation which Titan Travel follow The Titan Travel follow various hospitality law in order to create a better image in market and to ensure to not be a part of any illegal activity. The laws followed or applied in Titan Travel are : Business name act 1985: According to this law the owner of hotel should display a notice which shows owner name where the name of notice should not be same as business name. If any stationary is produced for hotel it should be in the name of owner and not in the name of business. The Titan Travel follows this law, a company use name of owner for purchasing goods and services, receipts, business letters etc. Credit card order 1990 :During the booking process both ea i.e., credit cared order 1990 and data protection act 1998 should be implemented(Bailey, , 2018). According to this law when bill is processed or personal information is taken while using credit card the information of guest should be protected(Kariman and et.al., 2018). Furniture and furnishing act 1988: According to this law the company should ensure to purchase furniture which is fire retardant. Titan Travel use this law. Gas safety regulations 1994 :This law is used in order to ensure that gas equipment and appliances should be safe. Health and safety at work act 1974 :According to this law employer should provide healthy and safe environment to the employees of the organisation(Hale and Booth, 2019). Food safety legislation act 1990 :According to this law the food should be treated in such way thatitisgoodforconsumptionofhumans.Itmeansthefoodshouldbeofstandard quality(Brown and Hewitt, 2016.). Consumer legislation :this law protects consumer against improper described faulty, damaged and dangerous goods and services. As well as law also protects customers form any type of unfair trade practices. Titan Travel apply this law in order to provide a healthy and safe environment to its employees.
Employers liability act 1969: this law lay emphasis on employer to carry insurance for their employees. This is compulsory for the employer of UK to have insurance for their employees. Air passenger duty (APD) 1996 :According to this law a tax is imposed by UK government on all the passengers who are travelling through flight out to UK. P7. The potential impact of company, employment and contract law in decision making Decision-making is most important function of all business whether it is big or small. It is important function which the manager of a company performs. The decision has to be made by HR executive by taking into consideration various laws such as employment law and contract law. This laws helps the business to make decision which are legally as well as ethically correct. Company law : The company law governs cooperation which are formed under companies act 2006. It can be broken into two fields. First corporate governance, it governsright and duties of employees, shareholders, directors and creditors.Second is corporate finance it deals with raising of fund by a company through equity finance and debt finance. AccordingtothislawtheTitanTravelcancreateorraisefundthroughcapital requirement and corporate governance(Noe and et.al., 201). Employment law : Employment law can be defined as a collection of law and rules which regulate relationship between employees and their employer. This law assist the employer that when they have to hire employees and when employees have to work. This law also covers that what minimum wage an employer should play to its employee and what type of condition should be provided to employees within the organisation. The Titan Travel company should by taking in consideration the aspects of this law. The employer of Titan Travel should made decision according to this law. This law is should be used by Titan Travel during hiring process. The rules will monitor the employer to does not ask question which create a sense of discrimination. This law affects almost all aspects of decision making. For example it will determine that what minimum wage would company give to its employees. The law basically determines the rights of company regarding family and medical leave, wage and benefits, discrimination, hiring etc.

The ways in which different functional role within hospitality sector should interrelate The main purpose of different functional are is to ensure that the all the activities within the business should be carried efficiently in order to achieve the goal of the company. For example the main functional areas in Titan Travel are : Marketing department :Marketing department of Titan Travel holds the responsibility to achieve target by developing new market. The department is responsible for advertising and conducting promotional activities for the company. Finance department: the role of finance department is to monitor and manage the activities related to budget.The main purpose of this finance department is to produce at low cost and increase profitability of organisation. Human resource department :HR department is responsible for recruiting right people for the organisation.Thetrainingofemployees,rewardandrecognitionsprogramme,planning incentives and benefits from them are all the functions which is performed by HR department.
Administration department: Administration department manages all the department. It looks at the functioning of all department. The senior management manages a wide range of activities including interviewing, monitoring budgets etc. Customer service department :The customer service department manages the customer grievances and complaints(Callan and et.al., 2017). In order to run a business successfully it is very necessary that all this department of Titan Travel should work closely with each other. As the marketing department knows that what are the needs of market and finance department knows that what is the financial capability of company. Therefore the both the department if work collaboratively with each other than it will result in achievement of organisational goal. Similarly as finance department knows the financial capability therefore the human resource department should work collaboratively with finance department in order to plan bonuses or increase in salary of employees. Customer services, sales and marketing department should also work collaboratively with each other the reason behind this is that the customer service department can take feedback from the customer which can be used by marketing department to plan for the new product . Constant communication and operation is very important for a business in order to achieve its objectives. A joint decision have to be made by the managers of different department along with their staff. Therefore it can be said that interrelation between different department of company or organisation helps in achievement of organisational goal. COMMUNICATION There are mainly 4 methods which is used by the HR department in the organization. They are as follows: Verbal Communication:It is the communication method in which member in the department used to transfer their point of view orally by the way of speaking. It takes less time to convey the message. NonVerbalCommunication:Nonverbalcommunicationisthemethodinwhich communication take place by the help ofbody language, gestures and facial expressions to convey information. This method is generally used to convey secure message.
Written Communication:Written communication is the way by which message are transfer in the written way generally by the help of letter and report. This is generally used for formal communication. Visual Communication:It is the communication in which idea are transfer with the help of the symbol and images. HRdepartmentgenerallyusesverbalcommunicationandwrittencommunicationinthe departmentastheyhavetotransferthemessagetoemployeeinthewayofverbal communication and also provides the joining letter and other legal document by the way of written communication. COORDINATION Some coordination method in the HR department are as follows: Mutual Understanding:It is the method in which department used to look at each other member need and feeling and makes the decision which can be mutually accepted by all. Direct Supervision:It is the method in which department leader used to direct all the function of the department directly so that there is no confusion in the decision-making and the leader has all the information regarding the current situation. Work standardization:It is the method which is used by the department by the way of improving the standard of the work in the department which helps the department in building the good working culture in the department which helps the business in free flow of their work. standardization is done by reducing the wastage of time, precise work sequence and standard inventory. These are the method which can be used by the HR department for coordination as mutual understanding help them in understanding each other, Direct supervision helps the HR manager in knowing what is current situation and what can be done to improve that and the Standardization helps the department to increase the efficiency of work in the organization. MONITORING There are generally three method of the monitoring in the organization: Business Process Monitoring:Business Process Monitoring is the process ofreviewing and analysing the performance to find out success and problem.
