INTRODUCTION
The Tourism and Hospitality industry is changing rapidly, and is prospering with
increased opportunities and growth. This sector is emerging to be the highest contributor in
economic development of country. Tourism and Hospitality industry offers various career paths
and avenues also which makes it an attractive field to take up professionally. With the changing
lifestyle patterns everyone loves to travel and take break because of this accreditation this sector
is gaining due importance (Nikazachenko , et. al., 2018). The aim of this report is to highlight the
government actions in supporting this sector and to recognise various sustainable practice in
order to develop an holistic tourism experience and also identify the policy approaches used by
Canterbury. The location selected is Canterbury – the Heritage Museum, a major tourist
destination in England, UK. The Tourism industry faced a great flashback because of the
Coronavirus pandemic therefore, the sustainable action plans are needed to built upon to develop
the further growth of this industry.

Tourism Policy
It is a consider as a tool which help to maintain the practices, decisions that mainly driven
by the Government, social or private factors to obtain the whole objectives that related to the
tourism. Tourism policy consider some set of rules, regulations, directive actions related to the
development, promotion of the tourism for the long-term development of tourism destination.
Objectives
Tourism policy are essential because it requires a support system related to the physical,
social environment so that it can be improve in a suitable and sustainable way and help to share
benefits to all areas of the community (Cheng and Zhang, 2020). It also work like a safeguard
and guarantee which help to maintain the effective standard practices related to the specific
tourism sector in which policy is successfully implemented.

It enhance the national identity and also help to share the cultural value of national pride
