Google Play's Location Tracking Explained

The Google Play store continuously tracks users' location data even when other apps are not enabled to do so. This is achieved through a system in mobile phones that communicates with vendors via mobile networks and Wi-Fi. If users don't want to share their location data, they can turn off location collection entirely or limit it to specific apps.
