This article discusses the role of human resource managers in planning, directing and coordinating administrative efforts in an organisation. It highlights the CIPD map which shows the comprehensive view of HR values, professional areas, behaviours and insights required to be effective in the HRM/D role. The article also discusses the 8 behaviours which guide an individual in an organisation regarding the behaviours which need to be showcased. It concludes with a personal experience of an HR administrator in a multinational company.
