INTRODUCTION
Organisational structure can be consider as outline of the activities which is directed by
Leaders and managers of the organisation in order to achieve company goals with high
effectiveness and efficiency. Human resource management is one of the most important
department of business organisation. The main function of this department is to manage people
who are associated with company for their personal interests (Armstrong and Taylor, 2020). This
activity includes rules, responsibility and rules. Organisational structure also defines that how the
communication will be conducted throughout the company process and their operations. This
report is about ARM Holding Public Limited Company.
ARM Holding Public Limited Company is a multinational software designing company
which is owned by Japanese SoftBank Group and vision fund. This company was established in
year 1990 by group of people at Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. The major products of
ARM Holding Public Limited Company are microprocessor design in graphic processing units.
The importance of organisation design theory will be explained for organisational structure and
full filing strategies that are made by company in order to achieve organisational goals. Various
approaches of human resource management will be explained throughout the study. Various type
of secondary data will be analysed in the report in order to evaluate and justify new development
in human resource management. The response of organisational structure for adopting change
within the company process.

Organisational design is multi step sequential process with functional aspect of work flow,
structure, systems, business goals and implementation plans within the organisation. This is
important for business organisation to maintain specific structure within the company to maintain
effective performance of organisation in target market (Bratton and Gold, 2017). There are
various organisational theories are used by company to maintain effective structure within the
organisation in order to maintain high productivity within the organization. Institutional
organizational design is mostly used by the business organizations like ARM Holding PLC.
Institutional Theory of Organizational Design
This theory is one of the most important theory to maintain effective operations in
organization. The main objective of this theory is to maintain effective communication between

the people and different departments of the organization for effective and efficient
communicational flow. This is how by using institutional Organizational design theory better
structure can be maintained in the business organization. This theory also focuses on the
development of the formal structure in an organization, by implementing technological
development in the company better result can be obtained. As the organization reach to these
level it helps those to gain better efficiency where failure for the organization are negligible for
company (Chelladurai and Kerwin, 2018). The other aspect of these theory is related to develop
social structure with in the organization to improve the communication between different
departments of the organization. Through these process high effective operational level can be
achieved in the business organization. Various rules and regulations are implemented by the
organization to maintain effective communication between the employees of the organization to
maintain effective flow of information and this can help the established effective collaboration
between the various functional departments of organization.
As per the organizational structure there are different structures are used in the business
organization. There are three organizational structure are most commonly used by different
company in organization for effective performance standard in business organization. These
three organizational, structure are- Flat organizational structure, hierarchy organizational
structure and matrix organizational structure (DeCenzo, Robbins and Verhulst, 2016). The
selection of the organizational structure is also based on the size and level of company. The
small and start ups uses flat organizational structure in order to maintain effective
communication with in small number of people. The medium sized organization uses the
hierarchy structure in order to maintain higher control on their actions in internal and external
operations of the company. The large size organization like ARM Holding PLC uses matrix
organizational structure in company for better management and communication between
different levels of company. By implementing intuitional theory of organizational design better
technological innovation can be implemented in company along with high structured social
network in company. By this process company can efficiently implement better organizational
structure in company.
There are different strategies are used by the company to maintain their performance
effective in the market place. These strategies help the organization to implement high
performance standard in the company to gain maximum performance standard of company in the

target market. In different condition company can implement different changes in the
organizational structure in order to gain high efficiency in organizational operations. There are
two main conditions are there where company have to make specific change in the organization
to gain high productivity and performance inside the organizational practices. For example, when
the company leaders think to create new job opening in company this is important for them to
make specific changes in their current organization to develop greater communication standard
with in organization (Sparrow, Brewster and Chung, 2016). For the new job position in the
company organization management have to restructured the company structure for maintain
effective information flow within the organization. For example in the large size organization
this is important to maintain their technology update with current market technology to maintain
production as per the market demand. This is how company can maintain their production as per
the current market demand. In these both condition organization have to utilise intuitional theory
within the organization to maintain higher effective organizational structure with in marketplace.

Some of the main advantage of the effective organization structure are- Effective organizational
structure provide the capability to the management of the organization to maintain effective
operational efficiency to the organization. This also helps the company to monitor and track the

functions of the human resource department are- attracting, developing, managing and rewarding

performance of company by retaining skilled and dedicated employees.
For each function of human resource management they can use different approach to gain
high performance standard with in organization.

There are different recruitment approaches are used by the human resource management
in order to attract people in the organization to improve the performance of the organization
(Boella and Goss-Turner, 2019). The most common approaches that are used by human resource
management are- Advertisement, campus recruitment, maintaining effective equality and
diversity within the organization. Some other processes that are used by human resource
department are- Web advertisement, social media advertisement, talent search and involvement
of the third party company to maintain high skilled and dedicated work force in the organization.
This approach can be considered as best approach to gain maximum performance
standard within the organization. Recruitment process can help the organization to improve the
workforce of the company. It can help the company to improve the number of skilled people in
the organization to get better performance in the target market.

effective planning and execution. This is how better approaches can be used by the organization

performance management & development, employee coaching, employee mentoring,
monitoring, succession planning, tuition assistance, key employee identification and organization
development. These are best processes that can be used by the business organization to gain
maximum efficiency within the organization. It is depended on the management and human
resources department to select one of these approach to develop their human resource department
effectively. Mainly for human resource development training and development, coaching,
mentoring and organizational development is used by the organization with technical
development for effective performance and development of the human resource of the
organization. Training and development process can be used by the organization at mass level to
gain maximum development of the employees within the organization. The process like

Response of Organization Design over Change adoption
The response of the organization for the change is highly depended on the change with in an
organization. There are different things can be look out in organization to implement or adopt

particular change in the company. In different organization response of people are different due
to level of authority and power distributed within the organization. The response of people for
change within organization can be categorised in four categories. These categories are- fear,
anger, ambivalence and enthusiasm (Kaufman, 2019). These challenges are commonly faced by
the organization regarding employees and organization system. In the flat organization structure
there is high enthusiasm is there because there is no communication gap between employees and
higher level management. In hierarchy organizational structure people are mostly feared with
adoption of change because their jobs are at risk in the change implementation process.
CONCLUSION
This report is concluding the importance of Human resource management department with
in organizational functioning in the target market. Theory of organizational design has been
studied in order to evaluate the importance of the organizational design in order to maintain the
performance of organization in target market. Various approaches of human resource
