This report focuses on the analysis of two websites given in the scenario. This report
provides a full evaluation of the aspects of the two websites in the market including the ease of
access and visual configuration. The analysis of the website has been done with the help of the
book on web design by Powell. The analysis is also done with the help of the Human Computer
Interaction (HCI) principles. There are various recommendations provided that helps in
improving the design.
Discussion
The analysis of the website is performed by identifying the competency of website
following the criteria firm a set of standards. The website helps in assisting the company and
entrepreneur to acquire the requirements of the website. The purpose of analysis the website of to
gather important information regarding the new website design. The analysis of website involves
goals and objectives of the company and analysis the outcomes.
Overview and description
The first website is an e-commerce store named as JB Hi-fi. This company is the largest
home entertainment providers in Australia (Jbhifi.com.au, 2017). The store used to sell various
electronics devices including computers, laptops, LED, LCD and tablets. These devices are the
daily home appliances required in almost every houses. The head office of the company is
situated at Chadstone Shopping Centre, Melbourne (D’Amato 2015). The company was involved
in the business of gramophone records earlier. With the change in the market demands and
decline in the stock markets, the company changes its business and get involved in retailing of
music CDs.

The website 2 deals with the e-commerce store Amazon. Amazon is specialized in cloud
computing and provides cloud computing services to the customers. The company is located in
the Washington, Seattle (Amazon.com, 2017). The company have been operating in many
countries over the world including India, Germany, China, Brazil and Japan. There are approx.
615 million customers joined with Amazon in 2008. Therefore, Amazon is the largest growing
company in the world.
Features of websites
The website 1 has an impressive looks in the website that provides all the information of the
company. The website has been integrated with the high graphics and template (Perry and
Hendrick 2012). It helps in helps in attracting the customers towards the website there are
various advertisements related to the products.
The website 2 is different from the website 1 in terms of looks and graphics. It provides a
detailed information about the products sold. The availability of the products on the website is
shown in the website that helps in purchasing products according to choice of the customers (Birt
et al. 2012). The Amazon provides a prime service that helps in quick delivery of products to the
customers. The customers can watch movies and videos through this service.
Comparison
Both the websites are compared on the basis of HCI and Usability principles.
