TAQ 1: 1.1. Getting affected by stress depends upon the personality of a person. The key lies inthe perception of events, on how the person perceives the situation and the necessary responses(Jakšić et al. 2012). Some individuals are highly anxious and are more prone to stress than therelaxed individuals who are less prone to such stress responses (Cooper and Marshall 2013). Theinvestigation should deal with a survey to identify such individuals and then experiments can becarried out in order to investigate the relationship between stress responses such as pulse ratesand personality of an individual. 1.2. Relationship between personality and stress response (pulse rates) 1.3. Personality traits that causes highly elevated stress responses like increased pulse rate, coldsweat, increase in heart beat, among others can give rise to serious stress related illnesses(McGaugh 2016). Stress can increase the risk of developing various illnesses like heart disease, obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, asthma and gastrointestinal problems(Bhattacharya, Shen and Sambamoorthi 2014). Thus, the above facts can act as a rationale fordeveloping a proposal for the survey. The aim of the survey was to investigate the stressresponses, the symptoms and the associated personality traits. The objective of the survey was todetermine the number of individuals who are highly responsive to stress conditions and correlatingtheir personalities accordingly. Moreover, it is also necessary to determine the symptomsassociated with these stress responses. It is also necessary to determine and identify any stressrelated serious illnesses among the individuals, so that necessary interventions can be provided forfurther elevation of the illness.1.4 There are various theories relating to personality. According to Freud’s theory, personalityinvolves factors like instinctual drives like hunger, aggression, among others. Other factors includeunconscious processes and early influences of childhood (Fromm 2013). The tripartite theoryindicates that personality can be divided into the id (biological components of personality), ego(decision making part of personality) and superego (conscience) (Gelso 2014). The Eysenck’spersonality theory involves three dimensions of personality including: extraversion, psychoticismand neuroticism (Eysenck 2012). Selye’s theory of systemic stress is based upon psychobiologyand physiology, while the psychological stress theory involves two components: appraisal andcoping (Bailey, R.D. and Clarke 2013). Coping theories can be trait oriented or state oriented.According to Friedman and Rosenman, type A personalities are more obsessed with achievementsand status. They are workaholics and are impatient. They get angry easily. They can also have ahigh risk of developing heart disease. On the other hand, when compared with Type Bpersonalities, they have a high level of life satisfaction, they are patient and do not get angry easily(Cooper and Marshall 2013).TAQ 2:2.1 Key stages of investigation: The planning should involve the aspects that are required for a successful investigation. The most important step would be to determine the reasons behind the development of stressresponses and the personality types associated with the presence of stress responses. Moreover,it is also necessary to determine the symptoms associated with the stresses and identification ofserious medical illnesses occurring as a consequence of stress. Moreover, it is also necessary todetermine the type of population affected by stress. 2.2 The people are going to be approached at their houses, the importance of the study will bedemonstrated and then the people willing to participate should be considered for examination.2.3 Personality traits can be associated with increased levels of stress responses like increasedheart rate, increase in blood pressure, among others. Moreover, mental stress and cold pressor4
