INTRODUCTIONHuman resource department of every enterprise perform very functions that play asignificant role in success and growth of firm. One of the main function of HR department is tohire skilled candidates for perform various job at workplace and manage their actions anddecision in enterprise (Salvendy, 2012). This concept encourage employees to perform their jobin an effective way so company can achieve its set goals and objectives in adequate manner.Waitrose, situated in UK and have a large chain of supermarkets is consider in present report.Various practices of HRM and its application in enterprise or in a work related context is givenunder this. TASK 4P7 Practices of HRM and its application in work related contextStaff members of every company play a significant role in success of firm. It is veryimportant for employees to perform their roles in an effective way. HRM department is the onethat conduct training and development programmes for workers to develop their capabilities andknowledge so they can perform their duties in adequate way (Sarkis, Gonzalez-Torre, andAdenso-Diaz, 2010). One of the main function which perform of HRM department is to fill thevacancies at workplace. For this manager first formulate a job specification and description asthis make the manager inform about the abilities which must be there in an individual forperform a job role. Different methods and sources are there that can be use by manager toappoint right candidate for a job at workplace. It is very significant to to develop and offerhealthy working environment to staff members as this increase their productivity and reduceworker's turnover. One of the main benefit of HRM is that it support employer in hire rightcandidate for right job which contribute in growth of firm. Job specification: This statement contain various factors related with a job such as majorroles and responsibilities of candidate, require education and skills which are necessary forperform a job at workplace in adequate manner (Shuck and Wollard, 2010). Further this containfunctions of a job and contain information about work summary. For hire skilled and bestcandidate, it is very essential for manager of Waitrose to formulate a job specification. 1
