INTRODUCTIONHuman Resource Management is a term used to maintain and organize manpower in anorganization. This project is based on Oak Cash and Carry Ltd. which is a small but rapidlygrowing company. This company provides cash and carry services, foods and beverages in bulkto retailers, caterers, offices and other local businesses in UK. This project tells about HRM indetail, major concepts that are recently developed, roles and activities for that HRM departmentis responsible. Later on, following report focuses on reasons behind performing various roles andactivities that HRM conducts. 1. HRM DescriptionHuman Resource: In terms of an organization, human resource is a person who isresponsible to use capabilities of employees towards achievement of objectives of organization.Thus, human resource management is a term which defines to ensure effective and efficient useof human resource so that organizational goals and objectives are achieved (Alfes and et. al.,2013). Human Resource Management is planning, organizing, directing and controlling ofhuman resources so that individual and organizational goals are to be achieved. Objectives of HRM: First and foremost objective of HRM is to make sure that rightpeople should be placed at right place which is done with help of staffing, so that organizationalgoals and targets should be achieved in given time. These can be explained with the help offollowing points: Main objective of HRM is to motivate and boost up morale of human resources so thatgoals can be achieved effectively and efficiently, because motivated employees will workwith greater efforts.Every human resource has their own capabilities ans skills and they should be used to thefullest. This should be considered by HRM minutely (Armstrong and Taylor, 2014).If employees will feel that if organizational goals help them to achieve their individualgoals, then they will work with greater interest because they are gaining job satisfactionand self-actualization, as well.1
