INTRODUCTION
Resource plan is an efficient development of an organization resource which are needed
to increase the effectiveness of the company. There are different kind of resource which include
financial, logistic, human resource and many more. In other words, resource manage is the
process through which firm manage their entire operation in the well define manner (Ahammad,
Glaister, and Gomes, 2020). The present report is based upon Oak cash and carry Ltd which is
deals in seasonal grocery items. Company was incorporated in year 2000 and have 50 employees
currently working for the organization. This report provides detail information about
development of human resource and how they are able to meet the aims and objective of the
company. However, the resource plan is made to meet the longer-term goal in an effective
manner.
TASK 1
Appraise the development of human resource function
Human resource management is the method which is used to manage and control the
activities which are used to manage and control the different aspect of the firm effectively. There
are different types of management which is used to within the company as this help in ensuring
the to meet the end needs. In the context of Oak cash and carry the manager have the vital
responsibility to manage and ensure the all the business aspect for the smooth functioning of the
firm. There are different kind of function present in human resource which are briefly explained
down below:
Recruitment and selection: The Human resource function is to figure out the essential
talent and make sure to increase the productivity of the company. For the SME company like
Oak cash & carry manager have to hire new employees. With the small employer brand, the
company will have right amount of sales and profit effectively (Armstrong, and Taylor, 2020).
Manager can use technology which help in increasing the efficiency of selecting employees
which help in fulfilling the desire of the company in the well define manner. HR have to choose
the best candidate which can help in meeting the end needs of customer and overcome the
challenge which are present in the market.
Performance management: It is an essential for ensuring that the workers have to stay
productivity and have to engaged in the financial service effectively. The effective performance
requires good leadership and guidance which provide clear goal setting and open feedback. In
the context of Oak cash & carry the manager have to review the performance of each and every
employee so that every firm can increase their market share by providing better service. For
further proceeding firm can use annual performance review and also provide 360-degree
feedback to the employees which help in providing insight and make changes to improve the
performance of the company. Hence this help in motivating the employees and also reduce the
competition which is present in the market.
Training and development: This are considered as the most important function for the
HR as this help in increasing the skills and efficiency in the work in a well define manner. In the
present business environment managing resource is vital for the firm as this help in making
