INTRODUCTIONHuman resources management is a contemporary term which is designed to manage theworkforce of an organisation. It helps to maximise the performance of employees in anorganisations. Human resource management is used for effective management of employees in aorganisation or company which help them to achieve there target. Human resource managementplay an important role in the development of an organisation. This report is based on theChocolate Presence organisation. This organisation presented various kind of chocolate which isprepare according the demand of the customers (Alfes and et. al., 2013). Chocolate Presenceorganisation is in north Yorkshire. They provide different kind of grating card which is based onchocolate. This is only organisation in UK which provide these kind of services to thereemployees. This organisation have different department which handle there work properly likermarketing, finance, sales and human resource. In this report explain the purpose and function ofHRM and explain the importance of employee relation and influence on HRM decision making.Human resource practices are also explain in this report. TASK1P1 Explain the purpose and functions of human resource management, applicable to workforceplanning and resourcing an organisation.HRM is basically designed to maximise the performance of employees in anorganisation. It help to increase the proactivity of employees as well as organisation also. It alsoeffective the market in a positive manner (Budhwar and Debrah, 2013 ). It is the basicresponsibility of human resource management to fulfil the requirement of employee. There aresome purpose of human resource management which are as following.Compensation: It is designed to provide fair payment of employees. Through this anorganisation analysis the structure of payment of each and every employees and change itaccording to the need. Chocolate Presence organisation is also provide payment to thereemployee with the help of compensation. Many lows are also available for the employees likefair labour standard act which is related to the minimum wages and payment.

Staffing needs: Human resource management provide skilled employee for thereorganisation according to the job profile. Promotion, transfer and termination of employees arealso done by the human resource management. These activities are based on the performance ofthe employees. So the HR department of Chocolate Presence organisation handle all theseprocess and situation in there organisation because It is important for the effective management.Performance appraisal: It is the basic responsibility of human resource management toevaluate the performance of there employees and provide them appraisal according to thereperformance ( Chelladurai and Kerwin, 2017). They evaluate the performance of eachdepartment in the organisation. These appraisal are annually provided by the organisation. Theseprocess is used by the HR manger of Chocolate Presence organisation. Benefits: Many extra benefits are provided by the Chocolate Presence organisation tothere employees like health insurance, conveyance benefits, retirements plans. These all benefitsare necessary for employees and it also increase on the performance and loyalty for theorganisation.Low compliance: It is the basic responsibility of every organisation related to the safetyand security of employees. Chocolate Presence organisation provide there employees a safeworkplace. This organisation follow many lows related top the safety of employees. Function of human resource management:Functions of human resource management is classified into two parts and those are as given.Managerial function: It is the basic function of human resource management. Planning,organisation, directing, controlling, staffing are included in the managerial function. Thesefunction is important for the effective management. These are uses in process. Human resourcedepartment of Chocolate Presence organisation use all these function to mange wholeorganisation. Operational function: According to this function whole growth and development of theemployees are depends on this. Compensation, development, benefits, appraisal and maintenanceof the employees requirement are included in this ( Huselid and Becker, 2011). HR of ChocolatePresence organisation also follow all the rules related to this unification. Recruitment andselection of new employees are also depends on this.
