INTRODUCTION The development of a career requires particular set of skills and knowledge so that an individual can get a job that is of great interest. Human resource manager is the position in an organisation that focuses on recruiting, screening, placing and interviewing workers. These managers are responsible for handling payroll, employee relations, benefits and training & development (Aburumman and et. al., 2020). They are responsible for overseeing specialists in their duties, consulting with executives on strategic planning and linking management of an organisation with its employees. Retail industry is the industry that majorly focuses on selling goods and services to customers. Human resource managers hold great importance in the retail industrybecausethisindustryrequiresskilledandknowledgeableemployeesandthese employees are recruited through human resource managers (Black and Warhurst, 2019). Human resource managers recruit candidates in the company by appropriately identifying the vacant job positions and needs of the organisation. I have selected human resource as my future career profession within retail industry because it has great scope. In my perspective there are many reasons that have created my interest towards the profession of human resource. One of the main reasons of selecting human resource as future profession is continuous interaction with people. The other significant reason is that it focuses on managing skilled and talented employee in the organisation (Nejati, Parsa and Farhadirad, 2020). Hence, profession of HR within retail industry will open different future opportunities for me. This will increase my knowledge about the different personalities and behaviours of people so that I can do my work with greater efficiency and effectiveness. The great career in HR will providemeachanceofdevelopingcareeraccordingtothechangeshappeninginthe environment (Bagdadli and Gianecchini, 2019). The existing report focuses on carrying out in- depth information about the skills, experience and knowledge required for the profession of human resource manager within retail industry. 2 human resource managers are chosen from Amazon as respondents because they have great knowledge about the profession of human resource within retail industry. This report covers primary as well as secondary sources for the collection of reliable and relevant information.
ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION General trends that impact HR in retail industry Globalisation:Globalisation is referred as the expansion of products, technologies, information and jobs across national borders. When an organisation makes decision of expanding business in different countries then it requires employees who have great knowledge about that particular place. Globalisation has direct impact over HR profession within retail industry because it has created pressure for including best employees around the world. It also puts pressure on the functions of human resource managers for adapting changing organisational requirements and greater value (Bratton, Bratton and Steele, 2021). With the motive of meeting objectives and goals of the business, human resource managers take advantages of globalising business operations such as recruiting candidates who have great knowledge about different culture and languages and many more. Globalisation also directly impacts knowledge and skills needed by the recent graduates in the profession of human resource. The graduates in HR must have great information about the ways to recruit and select employees after identifying the needs and requirements of employees so that objectives of the organisation can be easily met. The graduates should also have skill to understand the right type of strategy for satisfying employees in the organisation. Technology:The other vital trend in the profession of HR within retail industry is technology. In the existing competitive world, technologies hold great significance because it has made operations of business convenient and easy. In the profession of HR, advance technology has great importance because it provides several methods to reach out large candidates for selecting them as employee (Sullivan and Al Ariss, 2021). Internet has opened different channels for advertising vacant positions of the company and this helps human resource managers to select candidates from different countries, religion and culture. With the help of advance technologies, human resource managers can easily communicate important information with employees at right time. Technologyalsoaffectshumanresourceprofessionwithinretailindustryso itis necessary to have great knowledge about advance technologies within newly graduates. Recent graduates must have skill of learning new technology so that they can recruit new candidates through these technologies. This knowledge among recent graduates help company to meet goals and targets of the organisation.

HR. This assists in getting employees from different countries while expanding the business operation in the same. Interviewee 2:Manager 2 has answered that technology is the other significant trend within human resource profession because it assists in making work of the manager easier. Q2) As per your perspective, what is the main skill and minimum experience required for the profession of human resource manager? Interviewee 1:Manager 1 has said that communication skill is one of the necessary skills required for the position of human resource manager because the work of HR can be accomplished when they interact with employees. As per manager 1 human resource manager should have minimum 2 years experience so that they can perform their work efficiently. Interviewee 2:Manager 2 has answered that human resource managers should have leadership skills because this will help in controlling and managing employees in the company. As per this respondent, the required work experience is 3 years experience because this will help them in managing their work efficiently. Key knowledge ï‚·Technical skill:This is the skill that should be in human resource managers. This will help in operating software and hardware through which they can recruit employees in the company (Mazurchenko and MarÅ¡Ãková, 2019). ï‚·Conceptual skill:This is the other knowledge that should be in human resource managers because this will help in creating abstract thinking and formulating new ideas. This will also help in predicting future hurdles and problems (Khalik, Asbar and Elihami, 2019). EVALUATION As per the above assembled information it is evaluated that the profession of human resource is not easy because it requires significant skills as well as knowledge. This is the profession which is directly related to the management of employees working in the organisation (Dhanpat and et. al., 2020). There are several vacancies for the post of human resource manager within retail industry because management of employees is necessary within an organisation. Organisation develops apt job advertisement so that right number of applicants can be recruited.
The present report includes the job advertisement for the position of human resource manager. I am focusing on making career in the human resource profession because it is directly connected to the management of employees and I have great interest where I can communicate with different people. The profession of human resource has great scope because in an organisation there is always need of employees and people can be only recruited through human resource. The role of human resource manager continuously emerges because recruitment, development and selection of employees can not be stopped in the organisation. Therefore, in my perspective, career in the human resource profession has great future. CONCLUSION With the above information, it is summarised that HR profession has broad scope because it is continuously developing and growing in the market. Technology is the trend in the profession of HR which helps in making their roles and responsibilities easy and convenient. This job role and responsibility require communication skill so that these human resource managers easily communicate with employees.
