NTRODUCTION
Human resource refers to one of the division of business which is indulge in finding,
recruiting, training and development of job applicants and the existing employees (Szierbowski
and et.al, 2018). This entire report is base on Appirio which is a global service company which
helps the customer to create next- generation workday and also customer experience with the
latest cloud technologies.
This company is a start -up which provide transformation and growth to its customers. This
report states the purpose and functions of HRM which is applicable in workforce planning .
This report shows the strength and weakness of different recruitment approaches. Apart from
this, various benefits of HRM practises is being mentioned in this report. I8mpartance of
employee relation is also mentioned in this report.
P1 : Purpose and the functions of HRM
The major purpose of human resources in the company are -
Staffing
The human resource department is famous for its recruitment and staffing process. But
before announcing any job in the public they have to find out the staffing need and have to
design job description and duties ad and also they have to make sure about to set the required
skills for the position. Then they fulfil the staffing needs.
Compensation
This is the another purpose of establishing human resource department in the company is
that they look for the compensation structure (Papageorgiou, 2018). HR is the one who decides
the compensation structure for each and every post. Besides this they have to ensure that every
employee receive the wages and salary on time.
Performance appraisal
To boost the morale of the employees, HR has to evaluate the performance of each and every
employee in the organization to know who is doing well and who is not. Those employees who
are dedicated towards their work HR has to give performance appraisal to those.
Functions of HR
Planning
This is the foremost function of HRM as they have to do proper planning and look for
the future needs of the company such as – how many new employees is being required by the
