INTRODUCTIONHuman Resource Management (HRM) system plays a very important role in business asit helps in managing employees with job satisfaction. In order to, it gives contribution in goodwealth of organisation and run long term success. Asda is a company that work in British retailmarket and managing its brand image. This organisation is selling lots of products and includesfinancial services as well as mobile phones. However, the company requires new HR departmentfor opening new store. The present assignment aim to give proper purpose of developing thisdepartment explaining different types of roles and responsibilities of the same. In this report, itdescribes about various types of recruitment and selection methods like internal and externalmethod, different types of HRM practices like training and development, reward managementand many more. Moreover, it covers employment legalisation and their effective impact oncompany. TASK 1 P1 Function and purpose of human resource management Human Resource Management system work for employees’ benefits and theirresponsibilities as well as providing better work environment. In other words, it is explained asformal system of business for managing workers. It is also involved in hiring new candidate orselecting people, providing proper business environment, controlling various activities ofcompany, making plans, strategies and policies for employee benefits and many more. HRMplays role in achieving organisational as well as individual goals and objectives concerned withemployees. A business develops HR department for fulfil lots of purpose such as - Managing workforce- HRM has the most important purpose of managing employees inAsda company because they have large space in the retail market. Through use of HRM,they motivate employees and managing easily them. Moreover, they need newemployees, then this department conducting interviews and select the best candidate onvacant profile. Maintain proper relationship between employer and employees- This organisationbelieves in maintaining proper relationship. They want employees satisfy with job anddevelop open relationship . HR department analysis work force and help adjusting new

employees in company as well as arrange training and development event becausethrough this they understand work easily. Develop business- HRM helps in developing business through making new policies andstrategies, motivating employees, hiring new people and many more (Wilton 2016).Function of HRM - These function plays very giant role in Asda organisation such as, hiringand selection, staffing planing , controlling , directing and training . Those are define asunder:HR department analysis employees and also help to recruiting new employees uses ofshort method and selection of employees those deserve for particular profile. HRM have various type of approaches but in ASDA use mostly two type of approachesthose are -Hard approach - In this addition organisation believing on employees are only for resources .They treat like a machinery , technology many more. his is also focus on the workforce needs inbusiness and recruit , select new employee .
