INTRODUCTION
Women’s Health & Family Services is a non profit civil service that has specialised in the
safety of women, including giving a hand in solving domestic violence facing women in the
society (Harris, Loxton, Wigginton & Lucke 2015). Their services and programs are
available to all women from Western Australia and their families with considerations made
for the unique wants of Aboriginal (Rowlands, Loxton, Dobson & Mishra 2015). The
organisation is structured as follows;
Division of congress health service- is in charge of conveying all customer services.
Division of Congress Public Health Services- participates in general wellbeing
exercises to address the basic social and financial determinants of wellbeing.
Division of Human Resources- is in charge of enlisting and building up a protected,
skilled and safe workforce.
Division of Congress Business Services- strengthens Congress to convey consistently
and high-quality improving primary health care provisions to individuals by dealing with the

Another organization providing services to domestically violated women is The Australian
Women Against Violence Alliance (AWAVA). It is among the six national alliances
providing services to women and it is funded by the Australian Government and friends of
AWAVA. Its role is to ensure that the voice of women, particularly those from marginalised
regions of Australia is heard by the Government therefore curbing domestic violence
(Gissane & Andrew 2017). The structure of AWAVA is guided by three main principles,
inclusivity and diversity, equity framework and promotion of human rights.

AWAVA has put the following approaches in practice to help in reducing domestic
violence against women;
Gender based understanding of violence
AWAVA perceives that endeavours to end hostility against ladies must be responsible to
ladies and advance women’s social gender equality and empowerment. At the centre of
