Introduction
Transportation industry has been transforming in a large scale with the implementation of
ICT. The innovation and planning of the transportation industry has been helping in maintaining
a revolutionary change in the market. This report discusses about the innovation, planning and
implementation of ICT strategic plan in the air and rail industry in 2025. This report has targeted
the impact of the ICT strategies on Pacific National Railways in Australia. The ICT strategies
implemented in the organization for development in the market for future.
Mission, Vision and Objectives
Pacific National is the largest Australian’s probate rail operations. It was formed in 2002
with acquisition of National Rail Corporation and FreightCorp. The mission of the company is to
for the largest railway network in the country. The company is looking for the enhancing the
technology use in the company fir enriching services provided to the passengers.
The vision of the company is to secure the culture of the country. The company wants Australia
to be recognized as a leading provider of critical logistics services having important
infrastructure-based supply chains. The company has been backbone of nation in learning,
moving and innovating for sharing the journey with customers (Albugarni & Ahmed, 2015).
The objectives of the company deals with the safety in every layer in which they operate.
Customers are the lifeline of the business and the company is ready for supporting customers as
much they can. the customer satisfaction is the ultimate objective of the company ( Avidov-
Ungar, 2018). The company has been focusing on the teamwork performance. The decision
making system of the company has been focusing in the development of the company in the
market.
