Introduction
The objective of this paper is to identify the social and non-social services available in a city,
with detailed discussion about the impact of these services on the city and its development.
This report will use analysis of the currently working services and non-service agencies and
their activities making the efforts to ensure effective development of the services for the
population of the city. City selected for the detailed discussion in this report is Port Neches,
Texas, Jefferson Country (United States) (Roger, 2019).
Community Description
Port Neches Texas is located above the Neches River, surrounded by industries is a suburban
small town in Jefferson country. It has population around 12,831, including the people of
whites, Asians, African American, and Native or Pacific Islander as essential part of the
community. Majority of language in the city is English, approximate 89.04% and Spanish
spoken people in the city are around 7.2%. Port Neches is a city with effective and essentials
services availability, it has vast local market, and effective means of mass communication,
including digital media and print media, and it have effective control over public
transportation. Public entertainment and amenities like shopping centres, and parks are well
maintained in the city, with availability of swimming pools and picnic areas. Other tourist
spots in the city with attractive site scenes are LA MAISON BEAUSOLEIL (House of
Beautiful Sunshine) and Tugboat Island. The city is rich in culture and community practices
managing the development including social and communal development (Population;,
2020).
Social Service Agencies

In the city of Port Neches, there are many social service agencies actively making efforts to
manage the administration and management in various sectors, these sectors are majorly
related to the aging services, international social working, and welfare, health care and for the
justice and corrections (Cross & Horney, 2018). These social service agencies are engaged
in the management of the effective and essential services availability for the people who are
active in the social working and have effective connection to manage the social development
of the community, hiring such employees is very profitable to manage the sustainability of
the society. Some examples of the such origination’s actively engaged in the community
development service are presented below;
