INTRODUCTION
Strategic management may be defined as the process of setting goals, objectives and
procedure to make the organisation more competitive in the dynamic business environment.
Strategic management basically provide direction by designing different types of plans as well as
policies to attain the company objectives and allocate the resources to implement the developed
policies (Biemans, 2018). It is very crucial for the management of the company to continuously
assess their strategies in order to achieve successful position in the market because of the change
in the business environment. For the completion of this report IKEA is taken into account. The
respective company was founded by Lngvar Kamprad at the age of 17 in the year 1943 and the
headquarter of the company is situated in Delft, Netherlands. The firm deals in ready-to-
assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories, among other goods and home
services. Since 2008 the IKEA is the largest furniture leader all across the globe and they have
around 445 stores in more then 50 countries. The following report is going to cover the purpose
and the background of the study with some specific questions which is going to be discussed in
the report. This report also covers the competitive strategy in context to the chosen company and
the impact of the strategic planning on the organisation. Along with this, this report also explains
the significance of the strategic planning and the recommendation to overcome form the impact.

The purpose of this case is to determine the current business strategy which is utilize by
the IKEA in order to attain a successful position in the market and how they can continuously
improve these strategies to perform excellent and maintain competitive position.
AIM: - To improve the quality of the product for attracting the customer base.

To analyse the role of the quality management in attracting the customer base for IKEA.
To determine the issues which are faced by the respective company in relation to the
quality of the product.
To examine the different strategies which assist in improving the quality of products,
