Imagination: The best thing you can gift your child
Parents often worry about spending quality time with their kids. With a fast pacing
life, parents often find it easy to engage their children with tabs and smartphones, just to keep
them occupied. However, the negative impact it has on kids is not unknown to us anymore.
What is the alternative? It is high time we ponder over the matter. The easiest way is to going
old-school. Introduce them to the world of books! Reading could be a constructive activity
for your child. Also, it will help you, the parents, to bond with them.
When I was a kid, my mother read to me “Charlie and the Chocolate factory” by
Roald Dahl. This is a story of the young Charlie Bucket, who wins a lottery to visit the
enigmatic chocolate factory of Willy Wonka. It is a journey filled with adventure and moral
lessons, which, as a kid, had touched me a great deal. The most fascinating thing about the
book is that it never preaches. Instead, in the form of entertainment, it connects to children
with some pertinent lessons of character and morality. Even as an adult, I sometimes relate to
