INTRODUCTION
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services which involve storage, servers.
Databases, software, networking, analytics, intelligence over the internet and so on. For offering
fast innovation, flexible resources as well as economies of scale. Although, cloud computing is
big shift in the traditional way of doing business. This assignment is based on Tesco plc which is
retail sector organisation founded in 1919 by Jack Cohen. As well as report will going to discuss
impact of cloud computing on business in providing their services in the current business
environment.
MAIN BODY
Cloud computing, cloud storage and different type of cloud with their suitability to current
business
Cloud computing is delivery of several services through internet as well as resources
involved tools and applications such as data storage, databases, servers, software, networking
and many more (Botta and et.al., 2016). It play important role in saving data as individual can
save their files on cloud based storage instead of saving them on hard drive or local storage
device. Moreover, electronic devices access to the web within this duration cloud computing
access to the data and software program to run it. In addition to this, cloud computing is popular
option for people as well as business because of numerous reasons such as increased
productivity, security, performance, cost saving, speed and efficiency.
Cloud storage is a cloud computing model which stores data on internet by cloud
computing provider who manages as well as operates data storage as service. Moreover, it
deliver services on demand with just-in-time capacity and cost, eliminate buying and managing
data store infrastructure (Yu and et.al., 2016). There are several benefits of using cloud storage
by organisation such as it will result in reducing extra cost of hardware purchasing as well as
save time of development team because they save data on cloud storage which will be easy to
access. Along with this, cloud storage also help in information management by saving.
Apart from this, cloud computing have its wide impact on organisation such as Tesco Plc.
because it help in easy access to data as well as help in storage. Although, it increase IT function
and capacity of company without adding staff members, software, investment in additional
training and so on. Cloud computing is generally classified on the basis of location and services.

There are several type of cloud computing on the basis of services which are suitable for
organisation in managing their business within effective manner (Cloud Computing – Types of
Cloud, 2019). These are as follows :-
IaaS (infrastructure as a service) is lowest level of cloud solution as well as related to the
cloud based computing infrastructure as a fully-outsourced service. It allows to rent IT
infrastructure such as servers or VM's from the individual who id cloud provider on pay as you
go basis.
PaaS (Platform as a service) related to the supply according to the demand environment
for delivering, managing software application, testing, developing and so on (Botta and et.al.,
2016). This PaaS cloud computing service is designed for quick creation of web or mobile apps,
without worrying about managing underlying infrastructure of storage, servers, network which
are required by Tesco plc for development.
SaaS (Software-as-a-service) is method utilise for delivering software applications over
the internet according to the demand as well as on subscription basis. Respective cloud
computing software help company in hosting and managing software application and underlying
infrastructure as well as handle any maintenance. Another is, FaaS adds another layer of
abstraction to PaaS. So that developer are completely insulated from everything in the stack
below their code.
Apart from this could computing is based on location also and there are mainly four type
of cloud location computing (Rittinghouse and Ransome, 2016). Such as public, private, hybrid
and community. In public cloud, Entire computing infrastructure is located on the premises of
cloud computing organisation which offering cloud services. Second is, private cloud which host
computing infrastructure as well as security level is high while utilising private network. Third is
hybrid cloud which use both private and public clouds depending on their purpose. Fourth is
community cloud which shared within organisation for common goals as well as it get fit within
specific community.
Thus, for Tesco plc. SaaS will be beneficial because it help in maintaining record of their
customers by using software over the internet according to the demand of customers (Chang and
Ramachandran, 2015). Their is always option while doing online shopping to save detail as well
it is choice of customer that they want to save it or not.

Difference between privacy and security and how do you achieve your cloud or company's cloud
to be private and secured.
Security refers to safeguard the data and information, whereas privacy related to secure or
safeguard the identity of a user (Zhang and Xu, 2016). It is one of most important concept for
any organisation to give security regarding data and information to their consumers so that they
feel secure and become loyal towards organisation. There are some major difference in Security
and privacy that are as follows:
Security refers to personal liberty or being less from personal threats and privacy refers to
ability to protect personal data and information. The main objective or goal behind maintain
security that it provides confidentiality, integrity and presence and safe guard important
knowledge and information from unauthorised access whereas main objectives of privacy
provide rights of an individual and firm to protect or respect personal information so that any
kind of mishap-pens not occurs in society (Bansal, Zahedi and Gefen, 2016). There are some
programmes for security that is a set of protocols and rules that helps to protect all confidential
information that owns by Tesco. Privacy on other hand based on program of save information
which is personal in nature such as credentials and passwords and many more. Security based on
three major principles that are protecting confidentiality, integrity regarding knowledge and
information of available data and information whereas privacy based on principle of safeguard
personal knowledge and information that can be achieved by taking security initiatives. Security
can be occupy without privacy But privacy can not be achieved by security in proper way.
Security and privacy go hand in hand by some difference plays great role in organisation.
Attainment of private and secured cloud:The private and secured cloud refers to
computing system that offered either from the internet or private internal network and also
known as internal or corporate cloud. It is very much necessary to secure the cloud in better
manner. There are many ways to protect the cloud of organisation that used by Tesco that are as
follows:
Thoroughly vet cloud vendors: For an organisation it is very much necessary to secure
data and information by presuming compliance for that Tesco conducting a through research and
by comparing data by providers data security procedures (Ayalon and Toch, 2017). Firstly
organisation have to make a thorough assessment of security offerings in their service agreement.

That helps in gain best tools and techniques that give security to organisation data and
information in better way.
Align internal standards and procedures with cloud providers: In that context when organisation
comply with cloud provider in IaaS model, in that aspect cloud provider have to align with
security policies to remain always consistent when data moved to cloud providers service
offerings in better way. In that proper evaluation in gaps in case of security in on premise system
and cloud environment should be used so that security should be maintained.
Use hardware and best practices to protect data: In any organisation the cloud solutions
exist that are hybrid in nature which is a mix up of private and public cloud system. To make
secure data and practices security should be essential at three phrases in which entering at
corporate network, entering or existing cloud provider and in cloud itself (Sun and et.al., 2015).
In context of Tesco some of hardware plays major role essential and best practices in some areas
to secure data and information such as next generation firewall, internal segmentation firewall
and intrusion prevention system and application control are major tools that helps to secure data
and information in proper way so that consistency and loyalty in consumers should be
maintained.
CONCLUSION
After going through the above assignment it has been concluded that, cloud computing is
important for organisation as well as it play important role in storing data and information of
customers or any other important task. Along with this, cloud computing is classified on the
basis of service and location out of which for Tesco plc. Saas in suitable cloud service
computing. In addition to this, there is wide difference within Privacy and security which help
organisation in securing their data within effective manner.
