now a days. Companies can now share as well as store their important informations by taking
help of modern technologies (Awais Ahmad Tipu and Manzoor Arain, 2011). In previous years,
ventures are not able to attain their aims and objectives due to the less technical advancement.
But in this modern era, almost all of the firms are taking aid of technical support in order to
improve their business functions like accounting, sales and marketing, human resource
management, supplying or delivering and so on. With the assistance of digital technology,
enterprises can manufacture and deliver their goods and services in most effectual manner. The
present report is based on the impact of digital technology on the growth of 3Com and its
innovation. It is a small and medium sized company and known as digital electronics
manufacturer. They are best known for its computer network goods. In this project, various aims,
objectives and project plan has been eveluated for determing the infulnece of digital technology
on the 3Com and its functionalities. In addition to that martket research has been conducted for
this firm for evaluating that which factors are giving impact on its operations.

In the present era, it is important for each and every ventures to formulate a proper and
appropriate plan so that they can expand as well as develop their business operations in order to
gain maximum benefits. An effectual project consist of complete image of benefits attained by
enterprise after accomplishing specific assignment as well as predict the future image or
positioning of an organisation at a market place. In fact, this prospect is viewed as one of the
eminent part for every business due to their resource utilisation in a proper way. Thus, main
objectives of the project is to achieve maximum return on their investment by full-filling the
requirements of customers as well as workers (Bakker and et. al., 2011). Apart from this, for
fighting with the tough competition due to emergence of large of competitors having the
innovative ideas , managers of the venture is going to work by including digital technologies in
order to produce their products in a definite time period. 3Com corporation is also adopting
advanced digital technology for running its organisational activities in very effective manner and

can also make best future decisions. So, it can be stated that digitalisation is giving impact on
business growth and innovation.

It is very essential for all the business corporations to modify or change their policies and
strategies as per the changes occurred in the environment of marketing. In this modern world,
technology is one of the most eminent element of macro environment. It has bring many changes
in the industrial business. In other words, it can be said that digital technology has changed or
modified the complete scenario of small as well as large scale ventures. By gaining support from
this, marketing department can encourage and advertise various goods and services in very
effectual manner (Basu, 2014).
On the other hand, department of sales and accounting can keep the sensitive financial or
commercial records for a long period of time by offering them high security and safety. Human
resource department can also hire and select large number of workers via online recruitment
system. Production sector can manufacture goods or services effectively by taking help of
advanced machineries and at very low operational costing. Therefore, this project report has
various aims and objectives that aids and guide 3Com in doing their business activities in proper
manner.
Aims : The major or primary aim of this project report is to determine effectiveness of digital
technologies in the context of cited organisation. In addition to that, it also evaluate the impact of
digitalisation on the business operations and their growth. Apart from this, there are some other
aims of this project which is listed below :
 This report would give more focus on those areas of venture in the digital techniques cab
be improved and developed so that objectives and goals of firm can be attained.
 Influence of digital technology on the various activities of business like accounting,
manufacturing, marketing, human resource management, sales, advertisement, etc.
Objectives : 3Com is one the leading firm that deals with the manufacturing of digital electronic
computer network devices or goods such as network interface controller and switches, IP voice
system, routers, etc. This venture desires to produce best quality computer products at faster rate
so that it can full-fill demands of their customers. Also, it wishes to recognise the impact of

changes that would be occur due to the procedure of modification in the technology. The main
objectives of this project report are described below :
 Evaluating the enforcement of digitalisation technology within their working location
 To determine the reason behind transforming various business activities
 To identify the impact of digitalisation on accounting and finance, production
department, human resource department and marketing functions
 To analyse the maximisation in the profitability
Hence, these are very important aims and objectives of this project report that would be
highlighted in this assignment. All the above listed objectives area associated with the digital
technology that aids 3Com in increasing their productivity and gaining high profitability. Most of
the companies are taking support of technology as they wish to manufacture large quantity of

store their data on the network by taking help of cloud based technology. I have taken most of
the information from the Internet sources. While conducting this project, I faced various
difficulties due to ineffective management of cost and time. But still I have completed my report
efficiently by taking help of my colleagues.
CONCLUSION
From the above based report, it can be concluded that digital technology has been playing
significant role in the growing and developing the business of organisation as it brings several
positive modification in the existed business structures. With the help of advanced digital
technology 3Com can store their data on the cloud. In addition to that, they can also use artificial
