EXPECTED RESEARCH OUTCOME
The outcome of the proposal will help in offering a structure through which the entity can
take further research, which in turn can help them form strategies and adopt methods though
which they can carry out screening activity that was lacking in the organization. From the
response, that the researcher will get from the manager of Aldi and literature readings will give a
contradictory picture about the usefulness of screening in recruitment (Shrivastava, Shrivastava
& Ramasamy, 2014). However, it will help the company analyze the outcome and decide on the
strategies they need to adopt in future for recruiting desired employees in the business. Loss of
employees and huge employee turnover has a long run negative effect on the organization such
as lower productivity and low profitability (Stoughton, Thompson & Meade, 2015). The
recruitment that takes place in Aldi includes various processes and steps such as interview,
communication test and others. All these process will also influence the result of the research.
The research needs to answer all the questions that are asked in the proposal with the help of
information that is obtained from managers and past literature. The result will then analyzed and
framed to solve the problem that has been suggested in the proposal. The research that will be
conducted to solve the problem of ineffective screening process will also help other companies
that are experiencing huge employee turnovers.

This was the result of the lack of competency that the company has maintained in recognizing
the value of the employees. The study on this ground was important because employees face a
lot of challenges as human resource and competencies of the task. This makes it important for
the organization to focus effectively on the screening process of employees (Das and Baruah,
2013). Pre recruitment screening is the most effective as it allow the organization to get various
benefits such as suitable applicants for the job role, hardworking workers and higher
productivity. It has been evident that about 15 percent of the resumes that are submitted offer
inaccurate information about abilities, skills and educational qualification. This has lead to
various problems affecting the turnover rate of huge companies like Aldi (Ahmad, Tariq &
Hussain, 2015). The implementation of pre employment screening test has started in the early
80s in which the companies started conducting drug test. Since the concept and its benefits
started becoming evident. It was seen that the candidates that was addicted towards certain kinds
of drugs dismissed themselves from applying in those companies. This resulted in better
applicant in those entities. Similar kind of result might occur of Aldi takes up pre recruitment

companies took up and the result of the investment was seen, on the quality of employees they
hired after the screening. Along with these, there are other kinds of screening test that can also be
employed for determining the quality of employee being hired (Bode, Singh & Rogan 2015).

order to know the extent to which screening has always benefitted employee retention in
business. These type of data sources will be secondary data analysis that the researcher
will gather information from (Choy, 2014).
Data and surveys/Questionnaires
Data will be collected from numerous sources that will be summarized to offer a
set of idea about the effect of screening on increasing the retention of employee and
reducing the employee turnover of the organization. These data will be validated before
implementing it in the research purpose. Data collection and survey are crucial for
providing accuracy to the research that the researcher wants to gain. Data can be
collected from both primary as well as secondary sources (Flick, 2015).
In conducting the secondary research, various literatures from articles, books and
other authentic sources will be analyzed. While for primary survey, both qualitative and
quantitative analysis will be conducted with the help of various processes. Primary data
will help the researcher explore the aspects of employee retention and quality of workers.
For carrying out qualitative research, an interview will be conducted with the help of
interview questionnaire (Panneerselvam, 2014). There will be both open and closed
ended questions that will be answered by the employees and managers of the company
about their views and application of this idea in Aldi. For the interview purpose 100
employees and 3 managers will be selected such as the HR manager, Marketing and Sales
manager and General manager. The interview will be conducted with the employees and
managers through online mode and help the researcher to collect effective and useful
data. For the interview process the employees will be selected through simple random
sampling that will define the whole population to be surveyed (Owen, 2014).

For the quantitative research on primary research will take place on online mode
and telephonic mode. The data collected through questionnaire filling will be analyzed
and calculated with the help of statistical tool and graphical representation showing the
trend of employee retention after and before the implementation of screening tool
(Ganco, Ziedonis, & Agarwal, 2015).
Data Analysis Methods:
The result will be analyzed differently for primary qualitative data and
quantitative data. For qualitative data, the result will be presented in a transcript form.
result from the secondary data will be offered in a descriptive format to allow the reader
to easily understand the content of the result. This will offer a clear overview of HR
policy prevailing in the organization and its effect on employee retention. On the other
hand, quantitative data will be presented through graphical presentation. Depending on
the result, testing of the hypothesis will be conducted to analyze the likelihood of Type I
error or Type II error. Null hypothesis will also be tested against the alternative
hypothesis to reach a conclusion (Creswell, 2013).
Thus it is seen that the research will be a mixture of all the above mentioned strategies
and tools in order to arrive the most desired and accurate result of the research. However, to
analyze the result and information gathered from the previous literature, from the interview
questionnaire, all the data will be sorted and then grouped together to assemble it accurately.
These assembled data will then finally be analyzed for the result to avoid confusion.

quantitative data.

The above table and graph offers a picture representation of the days required for each task
depending on its importance and time needed to complete the research activity. It is seen that the
most important and crucial and time-consuming activity is finding the data, both secondary and
primary. Next important task is the analysis and organizing of the final report that is obtained
from the research and data collection result. The following time line will help the researcher to
finish the work on time and in a precise manner.

PROJECT BUDGET AND BUDGET JUSTIFICATION
The total budget that has been proposed for the research is $5000, which is required to
complete the research in time and with accurate solution. The researcher is to complete the report
within the above stated timeline given in the Gantt chart.
The budget has been divided into various credentials that will be required for the research
activity:
First is the literature review that will be done to carry out secondary research by reading
and finding books, journals and articles available online. For the purpose a budget of
$1500 is allocated
Second is the primary data collection that will require preparing a questionnaire to
interview the employees and managers of the organization. E-mailing will be used to
send the questionnaire to the organization. For the purpose $1500 is allocated
Last is the analysis of data, which requires presentation of graphs and charts to explain
the findings and therefore some amount of investment is required in these fields too.
Thus, a $2000 amount is allocated for analysis purpose. Online tool and labor will be
required for the analysis purpose.
