Employee retention is an important activity for companies as it helps to manage business
activities and complete the work. Nowadays, staff turnover is increasing day by day where it
became important to understand problems and solve them. The present proposal is based on a
research methodology that will be used by researchers to develop their personal and professional
skills by resolving problems (Alhassan and Greene, 2020). To improve understandings, Tesco
has been selected as UK based retail organization, facing the issue of increasing employee

Background of the research
The present research is about employee retention which is possible through employee
motivation and satisfaction. This is important for each organization that their employees will be
retained for a long period of time by satisfying their customers. The main reason for conducting
research is to develop personal and professional contexts. The researcher can develop their
understanding by using different motivation schemes that can satisfy the people and manage all
activities (Bradler and et. al., 2016). Tesco is large size organization that faced the challenge of
increasing employee turnover where the use of motivation schemes could be fruitful to motivate
