INTRODUCTIONWorkers play a significant role in success of a business organisation as these are the onethat perform various job roles at workplace. For satisfy the needs of customers and to satisfy theneeds of its customers it is very important for a business organisation to have a skilled workforce(Armstrong and Taylor, 2014). Employer is the who remain responsible to develop and maintaingood relations with employees as this provide various long term benefits to a businessorganisation. It is very important for both employer and employee to perform their duties atworkplace and they should have information related with their rights. ASDA, a Britishsupermarket retailer that deals in financial services, grocery and general merchandise is considerin this report for study. Significance of employee relations for a business organisation andfundamentals of employment law is all given in this report. Further, various type obligations,rights and duties of both employee and employer is all included in this. In addition to this,positive and negative impact of employee relations on stakeholders of entity is all mentioned inthis report. TASK 1P1 Value and importance of employee relationsVarious individuals work in an enterprise share some values and certain relation withother employees working there. Every person want and individuals to talk, share happiness anddiscuss ideas. It is very essential for workers to share a healthy relation with each other workingin enterprise. Employer remain responsible to create and maintain good relations with employeesso they can perform better and issues can be resolved. Significance of employee relations for abusiness organisation can be understood by following points:Help in take better business decision together: Every employee require some guidanceand advice in order to work well (Brunckhorst, 2013). Fellow workers are the one thathelp an individual to achieve set goals. Before introduce any change at workplace orbefore start working on a project opinions of every employee should be encouraged. Make the work more easy: Healthy and good relations with fellow members help inincrease productivity of employees. Develop and maintain healthy working environment: When an individual share a betterrelation with other employees, discuss and share issues then it help in develop positiveenvironment at workplace. Healthy environment increase productivity of workers whichincrease profits of entity. All this also results in employee satisfaction and help entity toretain them for long time period. Motivate employee to work well: Positive work environment and good relations withother employees working in enterprise encourage workers to perform well. All thisensure completion of business operations in time and at the same time help entity insatisfy the needs of its customers in better way (Dries, 2013). Overall good employeerelations improve productivity and profits of enterprise. Healthy relations reduce the grounds of rise conflicts: When workers working in anorganisation share a good relation with each other then it improve their understandingwhich reduce the ground of rise conflicts at workplace and at the same time encouragedevelopment and working of a team. For example: if workers working in ASDA share agood relation then they can work effectively in team and through this entity can completecomplex business projects and at the same time generate more number of profits.Reduce absenteeism: Good relations with other employees help individual in enjoy theirjob role and work and this reduce rate of absenteeism. This help entity in increase thenumber of its profits and also serve a competitive benefit to enterprise. All these points indicate the importance of employee relations for a business enterprise. Itis very important for employer to do all efforts to develop and maintain good relations withemployees. One of the main benefit of this is that it encourage staff members to perform their jobroles in better manner and this support entity in achieve its set goals and objectives. If workersperform well then it help enterprise in satisfy the needs of its customers which also support inretain them for a long time period (Hartmann, Feisel and Schober, 2010). It is very importantfor manager of ASDA to develop and implement effective policies related with manageemployee's actions at workplace.
