1IMPORTANCE OF SETTING GOALS Introduction: We all know that in achieving dreams we need to work but but we cannot work until and unless we have a perfect strategy to achieve the goal. A goal is an anticipated outcome that a person or system imagines or visualizes as the future possibility and them commits to achieve your desired result accordingly. Therefore, goal is the method which will help you to convert your dreams to reality. For example you all have reached in a position which you have dreamt of once. Some of you have reached the position fast and some later. Those who have set goals, have get more scope to work effortlessly and deductively. Goals give you the knowledge of the right path for achieving it. I myself has understood the essentiality to have a set goals to choose my right path to transform my own dreams to reality and sacrificed all the distractions to achieve this goal. Yes it is not always true that you will never fail to achieve big goals hence need to set small goals to achieve. Now, we will be discussing this matter that setting goal is necessary for growth and support this ideas with the findings of many researchers. Goals are essential to provide focus, measure the progress and give motivation to take control of life. I will first discuss the effect of setting goal to get a right path to go towards success. Secondly I will discuss how setting goals we can measure out progress and enhance our aptitude effectively. Finally I would discuss how setting goals can enhance motivation. Discussion: Goals are needed to provide focus as a life without any goals is like an arrow without target. The goals are needed for the understanding of the personal skills and talents which must be directed into a particular path (Millam& Reinhardt, 2018). Without focus, it becomes very tough to achieve anything if there is something to focus on. This can help you

According to Epton, Currie and Armitage (2017), the focus is an important thing to get the direction in lives. This sense of direction gives us the choice of path to achieve the goals instead of going around aimlessly for nothing. This is the method taking control in life. You may think often that why we are not getting closer to our success in spite of we are working harder than many other. It is the lack of understating the importance of goal. Most of us just work to carry put our duties but if we have a perfect goal in life we do not need to work hard and bitting round the bush but get right direction. We will get a direction that will take us towards goals and help us to make strategies to achieve the success. Next I would like to share that setting goals help us to measure out growth. As I said before, I have learnt how by achieving small goals, I can achieve a big goal. As mentioned by Bronkhorst, Steijn and Vermeeren (2015) it is all about learning to set a benchmark for performance yourself and them comparing how less or much you have performed and how you can enhance your capabilities. By setting goals according to your capability you will be able to come out of your comfort zone and perform tasks regardless to your strong areas (Latham, 2016). Thus you can set goals and measure you performance and do the needful accordingly. Thus by crossing hurdle one by one, we will be able to gain confidence on our own and feel motivated to achieve more and attain more success in personal as well as professional life. Just one time you are motivated you can double your efficiency in doing your tasks and achieve your success one by one. Thus the setting of goals is so very necessary in our competitive word of business. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that setting goals are necessary for the personal and professional growth of the persons. The goal setting initiatives can enhance the aptitude of
