Recruitment is defined as the process
that is related to identifying, screening,
shortlisting and interviewing candidates
in organisation. Barclays faces various
gaps in recruitment process such as it
takes too much time, attracting suitable
candidate, screening employees and
others that impacts business overall
performance and efficiency (Son, et. al.
2020). This poster includes steps that
are taken by organisation to improve
recruitment process.
Barclays take various actions and develop strategies to improve organisational recruitment process
that help business to acquire skilled, talented and capable employees who lead business towards
growth and development. Recruitment process includes various steps, Barclays take effective
actions each of these stages to improve their efficiency and effectiveness. all these steps are
mentioned below:
Recruitment planning is the first step of recruitment process in which Barclays ensure that it
develop effective job description for organisational vacant position. Respective organisation
outlines all roles, responsibilities, experience, required skills and qualification that helps
organisation to acquire talented candidates.
When organisation identifies its suitable candidates than develop effective strategies in order to
recruit candidates for organisation. Barclays created appropriate strategy to implement all
recommendations to improve recruitment process (Vaiman, et. al. 2018). Respective organisation
take decision regarding recruitment sources, sequence of activities that performed to recruit
employees and find out suitable geographical are to recruit appropriate candidates.
In this stage, Barclays take decision to attract candidates for organisation through considering both
internal and external sources. Organisation promote internal employees to vacant job positions or
use referral programme to high appropriate employees from external sources.
Screening is defined as the integral part of recruitment process because selection process begins
after screening employees properly. Barclays screen employees on the base of skills and
qualification that is required for specific job profile in organisation. With the objective of
improving the process of screening, Barclays relied on job description and analyse capabilities and
skills of candidates accordingly. Organisation builds talent pipeline through looking past
candidates, reach out candidate to engage them and maintain communication with potential
employees to keep their interest in business job position.
Barclays monitors and evaluate overall recruitment process to analyse its effectiveness for
organisation. As there are various improvement strategies are developed for organisation so,
organisation also ensure that these strategies are properly implemented and viable for
effective recruitment process or not (Vaiman,et. al. 2018). Organisation need to shorten
recruitment process that enhance candidate experience.
